Before the match, Bologna and Fiorentina remembered Rocco Commisso, the Viola president who passed away yesterday, with the traditional circle in midfield and 60 seconds of silence, during which a section of the Bologna stands erupted in disruptive shouting, while others urged them to be quiet. A few boos were also heard, immediately drowned out by the applause of the rest of the Dall’Ara crowd.

Viola tribute—  During warm-ups, Fiorentina—who had gathered in a circle before the match—wore a commemorative jersey featuring the number one, the words “Grazie Rocco,” and a photo of the club president. Then everyone—players and coaching staff—went over to the Viola fans’ section, where a “Ciao presidente” banner had been unfurled, and took a photo with the number 5, Commisso’s jersey number. Even Dzeko, Kean, and Lamptey, who weren’t in the lineup, joined the rest of the group.
