Will RBL put the strong Bremen team in its place?

SV Werder Bremen catapulted themselves to seventh place in the table with three wins in a row and spent the winter very carefree within reach of the European starting places. The question of whether the north Germans will be able to continue their run is correspondingly exciting. However, there is not much to suggest that betting on an away win for the green-whites against RB Leipzig will pay off. After seven away games at the Red Bull Arena, Werder have only managed to get one out of a possible 21 points.

The Saxons, on the other hand, have recently recovered after a minor downturn in late fall and went into the winter break in fourth place in the table. Although they actually lost four of the last seven league games (two wins, one draw), the Red Bulls still did not go into the season break without success, taking six out of nine possible points from their last three games. Our prediction for the RB Leipzig home win is therefore also against Werder Bremen.

However, the remarkable away strength of Bremen should be noted. The SVW has taken 16 out of a possible 24 points on foreign soil, which is only surpassed by Bayern (17 out of 24) across the league. The green-whites are by no means without a chance in the Red Bull Arena, where they only managed to get a point for the seventh time last season (final score: 1:1).

Although high prices are being asked for the bet on the Weserelf getting another point, we recommend betting on Leipzig to win at home. After all, the Saxons are still a force to be reckoned with at home.

RB Leipzig vs. Werder Bremen prognosis AI

While there may be contrary tips here and there when comparing the human tip with the AI prediction, in this case, supercomputer BETSiE is entirely of our opinion that betting on the Red Bulls’ home win is a good idea. Finally, in the game between RB Leipzig and Werder Bremen, the AI also predicts a win for the Saxons, for which Tipwin offers odds of 1.75, which assumes a probability of 57.1 percent in order to be in the value range.

In contrast, the AI BETSiE puts the chances of Marco Rose’s team winning at 62.7 percent, which is almost six percent above the required probability, so that tip 1 is associated with a positive expected value. Thus, the favorite tip also makes sense from a mathematical point of view and is also, to a certain extent, approved by the AI.

RB Leipzig – Statistics & current form

After not only Borussia Dortmund but also defending champions Bayer Leverkusen faltered, RB Leipzig advanced to become FC Bayern Munich’s closest pursuer. The Saxons were still level on points with the German record champions after eight matchdays, but then increasingly ran into trouble following a 2-1 away defeat at Signal Iduna Park.

This was followed by a period of weakness that began in November, during which the Red Bulls only managed to secure seven out of a possible 21 points from seven consecutive league games (two wins, one draw, four defeats). In this period, they suffered as many defeats as in the 30 league games before that (four).

RB Leipzig with strong home record

Nevertheless, the worst seems to be over, because the Saxons managed to get two wins out of their last three games before the winter break, thus consolidating their fourth place in the table. Marco Rose’s team remain unbeatable at home. The Red Bulls have only lost one of their seven Bundesliga home games in the 2024/25 season (four wins, two draws).

Accordingly, the tip for the home win of the Saxons at RB Leipzig against Werder Bremen is coherent, who have never before suffered a defeat against the Weser team in seven Bundesliga home games (six wins, one draw) and, with only seven goals conceded, are the third-best home defensive team behind Bayern (four) and Union Berlin (six).

Werder Bremen – Statistics & current form

SV Werder Bremen already sniffed at the international starting positions last summer, but in the end had to admit defeat to 1. FC Heidenheim in the fight for entry into the UEFA Conference League. However, the green-and-whites could well make it into the main round of a European competition again for the 2024/25 season.

After 15 league games, the team from the Weser is in seventh place with 25 points. The last time the north Germans had more points at the same point in time was in the 2011/12 season (26).

Werder Bremen in 2024 with remarkable away record

The selection of Ole Werner won three league games in a row, but is now fighting against a negative trend. In none of their last three Bundesliga seasons have the Werder team won the first game after the winter break (one draw, two defeats).

Even now, the odds against Bremen winning away from home speak against Bremen at RB Leipzig against Werder Bremen. At LeoVegas, where new customers can get up to €100 with the LeoVegas welcome bonus, quotes of 4.75 are available for Tip 2.

However, it should not be completely discounted that SVW won nine Bundesliga away games in the 2024 calendar year. The only year with more was 2006 (ten), with six of those nine away wins being shutouts. That, in turn, was something the green-whites had never done before in the top flight of German football…

RB Leipzig – Werder Bremen Direct comparison / H2H record

Head to head: 10 – 3 – 2

15 competitive matches have taken place between the two teams so far, and with ten wins, RB Leipzig clearly lead the direct comparison. Last season, both the first leg and the second leg ended in a 1-1 draw. However, in seven Bundesliga home games against SV Werder Bremen to date, RB Leipzig have never lost (six wins, one draw).

Bottom line, our prediction for the home game of the Red Bulls against Werder Bremen is a home win for RB Leipzig, despite the form and away strength of the green-whites, who were able to end their downward slide before the winter break. The Saxons are also very strong at home and have never lost to SVW in seven Bundesliga home games (six wins, one draw). So even though Werder have impressed on their travels on several occasions in 2024, we would be very surprised to see them take anything from this game at the Red Bull Arena.

Benjamin Sesko could also be the key to this game. He has scored once in each of the last three Bundesliga matchdays and has played a major role in RBL getting back on track.

We recommend betting on the home win of the Saxons, for which RB Leipzig against Werder Bremen betting odds of 1.75 are being offered, which we are alluding to at Tipwin with six out of ten units.
