Is Leipzig finally getting back on track?
The third matchday of the Champions League group stage is almost all-important for RB Leipzig. After a weak start to the top flight, even third place seems to be wobbling. However, the task in Paris is enormously complicated.

This way, however, the Pochettino eleven can go into the game quite relaxed, especially since the South American faction, which was still absent on Friday due to international travel, is back.

The air is already a bit thin for RB Leipzig – and that after two games in the group stage. They can lose at Manchester City, but the home defeat against Club Brugge is still hanging over the club. And so PSG will have to produce something worthwhile if the Saxons are to have any chance of progressing.
Things are not going ideally in the Bundesliga either. Leipzig could have lost this game rather than won it, however. Eighth place with eleven points from eight games is not a brilliant performance. In addition, four of the last five away games in the Champions League were lost.
So the omens are anything but good as far as success in Paris is concerned. At least Emil Forsberg, who was substituted at the weekend due to injury, will be in the game and can at least be part of the squad.
RB Leipzig hope for a good day
It will be important that goalkeeper Gulacsi in particular performs at the very highest level in Paris. Compactness is also of enormous importance, but they won’t be able to prevent goals either way. In the last few games, Leipzig let in too much time and again, and that must not be allowed to happen again.
All in all, RB Leipzig only played to nil in four of eleven competitive matches. That’s not a catastrophic rate, but it’s not enough in view of the team’s own expectations. And after the club’s weakest ever start in the top flight, the pressure is not lessening.
