Last in the table visits Old Trafford

The 33rd round of matches in the British top flight goes over in plucked form. The reason is the parallel games in the FA Cup, which is why some clubs had to postpone their games in the league.

Nevertheless, several interesting pairings can be discovered for the coming weekend. Tottenham, for example, will be looking for their fifth win in a row in the league against Brighton!

An endeavour that is also under a good star from a statistical point of view, as the visitors have been waiting for their next win at the Londoners for more than 40 years.

Moreover, after the recent surprising defeat against Everton, the Manchester United kickers will be hoping to get back on track against the bottom team from Norwich

Tottenham v Brighton – 16 April, 13:30

The Lilywhites prevailed 2-0 at the Seagulls in the first leg. The game took place just last month in the guise of a catch-up encounter.

It was also the capital side’s second win over Brighton this year, with Hove also losing 3-1 to Tottenham in the FA Cup last February.

The home side also have a flawless home record against Brighton since the turn of the millennium, winning seven home games against the south coast outfit!

For the clash in London in the Premier League on matchday 33, bets on another home win are worth considering. The home side are in stable form and have won all of their last four league games.

They are also desperate to defend their fourth place, which gives them a direct ticket to the next edition of the Champions League.

Southampton v Arsenal – 16 April, 16:00

The Saints have lost each of their last two home games against the Gunners in league action, and the Londoners have managed to land a total of five goals within the visiting games!

Most recently, however, the Capitals conceded a painful 2-1 defeat to Brighton in the league. Furthermore, the downturn of the last weeks continued: After all, this was already the third defeat in the last four rounds of matches.

As a result, Arsenal have slipped down to fifth place in the table. But the home side has been even weaker recently.

They lost 6-0 at home to Chelsea last weekend and have lost four of their last five league games.

Against this backdrop, betting tips on an away win in the matchday 33 clash on the south coast of the Premier League suggest themselves.

Admittedly, Arsenal have been inconsistent of late, as described, but Southampton’s form crisis is even more pronounced in comparison.

Watford v Brentford – 16 April, 16:00

The Hornets have been waiting for their next win in three duels against the Bees (0-1-2). In two of those games, Ivan Toney converted a penalty in favour of the Londoners.

In the upcoming match, the players from Vicarage Road should pay special attention to the striker. No player on the visitors’ side has scored more goals than Toney this season.

The Briton has already scored a dozen goals. Last weekend he was again the match-winner. He scored against West Ham and set up the other goal in a 2-0 win!

For the match at Watford in the Premier League on matchday 33, predictions of another goal by Toney are worth a recommendation.

He should also get plenty of chances, as the hosts have the third weakest defence in the British top flight, having conceded 60 goals already.

Manchester United v Norwich – 16 April, 16:00

The record champions narrowly prevailed 1-0 at the “Canaries” in the first leg. It was the fifth success in a row for the Red Devils in this pairing.

In the league, however, Manchester suffered a painful defeat at the hands of Everton. For the race for the Champions League places, this slip-up was of course of little help from the point of view of the home side.

For their part, the visitors arrive with renewed hope in the relegation battle. They recently beat Burnley 2-0 in the basement, although a draw would have been the more deserved result from an objective point of view.

Teemu Pukki scored one goal, taking the Finn’s tally to nine and making up no less than 45 per cent of the visitors’ goals this season.

For the encounter at Old Trafford in the Premier League within the 33rd matchday, however, value can now be discovered in the odds on a home win with at least a two-goal difference.

The hosts cannot afford another defeat like the one they suffered against Everton last time out and will certainly be extra motivated and focused.

Newcastle v Leicester – April 17, 3:15pm

The Magpies still picked up a 4-0 defeat at Leicester in the first leg. However, the defence has improved noticeably in the meantime. With the exception of a defeat against Tottenham, they have only conceded one goal in the last ten league games.

Moreover, the home side have a physical advantage, as the Foxes have already faced PSV from Eindhoven in the Conference League this week

West Ham v Burnley – 17 April, 15:15

The Hammers couldn’t get past a goalless draw at the Clarets in the first leg. On the other hand, it was the third match with Burnley in a row that the Londoners did not lose (2-1-0).

On the other hand, the home side suffered a defeat on the last matchday. In the derby against Brentford, West Ham were defeated 0:2.

This was further proof of the home side’s current lack of consistency – for the last five rounds of matches they have alternated between wins and defeats.

United will also be a little tired against Burnley, having already faced Lyon in the Europa League this week.

However, the visitors should keep a close eye on Michail Antonio in particular on the home side: The Jamaican has scored the hosts’ last three goals in the country’s top flight against Burnley!

However, the striker is currently out of form: Antonio has been waiting for his next goal for twelve league appearances.

For the clash in London in the Premier League on matchday 33, bets on a home win with a one-goal difference are again recommended.

Although the visitors are in a poor run of form and are only third-last in the table, the Londoners are currently in shaky form as described, which is why only a narrow home win is on the cards.
