A midsummer night’s dream or a real possibility at the end of the transfer window? The transfer market is unpredictable, and we will soon know more: what is certain is that Nico Paz is one of the main targets for Cristian Chivu and Beppe Marotta at Inter, who are literally spellbound by the talent of the Argentine, fresh from his first season in Serie A with Como. And it won’t be easy to convince the ambitious (and wealthy) owners of the Larian club to part with their star player: the Fabregas case is already setting a precedent in Appiano Gentile. Let’s find out how Nico Paz’s odds at Inter are changing on the boards of the leading bookmakers.

NICO PAZ INTER ODDS—   Real Madrid has decided not to exercise its option (which expired on June 30) to redeem him, and Nico Paz is therefore effectively a Como player for at least another year: the Argentine will once again be the linchpin of Fabregas’s midfield, courted by Bayer Leverkusen and Inter but somewhat surprisingly remaining on the Larian bench. It is a considered decision, clearly dictated by specific guarantees received from the owners. These include confirmation that the midfielder, who is coveted by half of Serie A, including Inter, who are looking for creativity in midfield given Calhanoglu’s likely departure, will stay. Nico Paz is at the top of the Nerazzurri’s wish list, but it will take a significant offer to sway Como (who have no need to sell) and get Real’s approval: the talk is of at least €50 million. That’s a lot of money for the Nerazzurri, who will inevitably have to sell first to raise the necessary funds. Nico Paz’s odds at Inter range from 3.50 at Snai to 2.50 at Sisal and Gazzabet.
