Only an inquiry from the Italian champions with the entourage of the Atalanta player, who in response reportedly reiterated that he only wants to go to Milan

No auction on the horizon for Ademola Lookman. Inter’s offer is already on the table, as confirmed by sporting director Piero Ausilio, and, at the moment, there are no other negotiations involving the Nigerian striker. This is what is filtering out of Bergamo in response to Napoli’s alleged involvement: no official offer from De Laurentiis’ club, but only preliminary talks with the player’s entourage, who in response reiterated his clear preference for Inter, with whom he has already reached a preliminary agreement. Lookman therefore seems to have clear ideas and is now pushing for the clubs to reach an agreement soon to avoid a repeat of the situation seen a year ago, when Atalanta effectively blocked his move to Luis Enrique’s PSG.

The figures—  At the moment, there is a gap of around $10 million between Atalanta’s asking price ($50 million) and Inter’s offer ($40 million): a difference that seems far from insurmountable, especially considering the player’s willingness to sign a contract with Inter worth $4.5 million, rising to $20 million by 2030. Now Lookman himself could play a decisive role, having already made his choice known through his entourage: he has only Inter in his thoughts and, after scoring 52 goals in his three years in Bergamo, he is expecting a helping hand from the Percassi family this time around.
