Will the Glaziers keep another clean sheet?
Both Leicester City and Crystal Palace have picked up 37 points in the Premier League so far. Both teams are in ninth and tenth place in the current table, although the Foxes still have two games in hand. However, neither of the two teams is really in contention for a place in the European Championship.
The Eagles in particular have been in very good form recently. The Londoners are unbeaten in seven competitive matches. In the last four games in a row, the Glaziers even remained without conceding a goal. Despite this, the odds in the run-up to the clash between Leicester and Crystal Palace are swinging in the Foxes’ favour.
However, Leicester City have a much more important construction site at the moment. As participants in the Conference League quarter-finals, the Foxes still have a chance of reaching the Europa League via overall victory in the inaugural edition of that competition, something that is no longer realistic via league action. Accordingly, the important second leg against PSV Eindhoven, which takes place next Thursday, is already casting its shadow a little way ahead.
Leicester – Statistics & current form
Leicester City surprisingly celebrated the English Championship in the summer of 2016 and won the FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history last year. With this, the Foxes started the new season in the Europa League, in which the journey ended, however, in the preliminary round as third in the group.
The squad from England’s East Midlands fully embraced the relegation to the Conference League, however, and advanced to the quarter-finals with wins over Randers FC and Stade Rennes. There, the first leg against PSV Eindhoven on Thursday night ended 0-0.
The Conference League as a backdoor to Europe
Meanwhile, the Foxes have already failed to win the FA Cup as defending champions and, with just ten wins from 28 games, are unlikely to have any chance of a European spot in the Premier League either.
For Brendan Rodgers’ side, the Conference League is correspondingly important, with an away win needed in the return leg in Eindhoven next Thursday. The overall winner of this competition will ultimately qualify for the Europa League.
Ten points out of a possible 15 from the last five league matches
But at least the recent momentum is definitely in favour of the Foxes, who have picked up ten points out of a possible 15 from their last five league games. By comparison, they only picked up one more point from their previous ten league games (eleven points out of a possible 30).
Due to the recent upswing and the fact that Rodgers’ team is unbeaten in five matches with the Eagles, the reigning FA Cup winners will be favourites going into the home game.

Crystal Palace – Statistics & current form
Crystal Palace Football Club have been within touching distance of the top third of the table throughout a successful season under Patrick Vieira, but the Glaziers have never been able to break into it.
After 30 league games, of which the Londoners have lost only nine (the fifth-fewest defeats in the Premier League), they still sit in a comfortable ninth place in the table.
Hopes rest on the FA Cup
The Eagles also have a potential loophole to qualify for a UEFA group stage for the first time in the club’s history. To do so, Crystal Palace would have to follow in Leicester’s footsteps and win the FA Cup.
After a commanding 4-0 victory over Everton, the Glaziers have already reached the semi-finals, where they will travel to city rivals Chelsea on the following Sunday.
Competition-wide without conceding a goal for 392 minutes
It would be important for the Londoners to get the necessary self-confidence for the important task in the cup in this away match in the East Midlands and to extend their recent winning streak. The Eagles are currently unbeaten in seven games (five wins, two draws).
In addition, the Glaziers have gone four games without conceding a goal in the competition, even though they have faced the brilliant attacks of Manchester City (0-0) and Arsenal (3-0). Accordingly, there is a lot of value in betting on Leicester against Crystal Palace that a maximum of one team will score in this match.

Leicester – Crystal Palace Direct Comparison / H2H Record
Head to head: 29 – 20 – 27
There have been a total of 76 meetings between the two teams so far and overall the record is quite even. At least recently, however, the duel has been in the hands of the Foxes, who are unbeaten in five games against Crystal Palace (three wins, two draws). The first leg in London ended in a 2-2 draw.
Leicester – Crystal Palace Tip
Both teams are on an equal footing, which is also evidenced by the fact that they are direct neighbours in the table with 37 points each. A lot can therefore happen in this match, which is why it is incredibly difficult to make a prediction in the three-way system for Leicester against Crystal Palace. On the one hand, the Foxes have been in better form of late, while on the other, the Glaziers are also unbeaten in seven competitive matches.
Much value can be found instead in betting that a maximum of one team will score. This not only suits the defensive strength of both teams, but also the fact that both have a landmark match in Conference League and FA Cup respectively coming up next week. Moreover, in five of their last nine encounters, only one side has scored.
