Karlsruher SC v Union Berlin Tip & Quoten, Sep 12, 2020 – 06:30 PM
Karlsruhe SC will start the new season on Saturday evening, 12.09.2020 at 18:30 with a home game at the Wildparkstadium in the DFB Cup against Union Berlin. Last season, the Badeners did not play a bad role in the cup competition and in the first two rounds kicked out the league competitors Hannover 96 (home 2-0) and Darmstadt 98 (away 1-0). In the quarter-finals, however, there was a 3-5 after penalty shootouts against the quarter-finalist 1. FC Saarbrücken. The Köpenickers reached the quarter-finals and were defeated by Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen 1-3 in the BayArena. Previously, Germania Halberstadt (6:0), SC Freiburg (3:1) and SC Verl (1:0) were eliminated.

The team of Christian Eichner had a lot to lose on the last day of last season as table sixteenth. At the guest appearance in Greuther Fürth, a victory was mandatory in order to reach the rescuing shore. Since competitor Nuremberg in Kiel did not go beyond a 1-1, the Baden team’s 2-1 victory was enough to avoid the relegation games and to celebrate the direct survival of the class. At first, things didn’t look good for the KSC. The clovers passed through Keita-Ruel with a score of 1:0 after only two minutes. However, the guests did not let their head down and came to the 1:1 equalization by Kother (21st). Actually, at this point, the score was rather 2-0 in the air. Even shortly before the break, better francs were shortly before the new leadership, but these shooting opportunities were also left unused. In the second period of the game, the KSC was able to make the action a little more balanced and then went through the transformed foul meter by P. Hofmann with 2:1 in front (61st). Fürth threw everything forward, but did not make up for it in the last half hour.
The Eichner team lost only one of the last four games in league two and scored seven points in that period. KSC secured the league through the partly good results at the end of the season. Furthermore, none of the last five home games were lost – Darmstadt 98 (2:0), VFL Bochum (0:0), St. Pauli (1:1), VfB Stuttgart (2:1), Arminia Bielefeld (3:3). However, only four teams were worse in their own four walls.
Locks or injuries are not known. The KSC may well receive the Union in its best capacity.

The Irons had secured early survival in the first Bundesliga before the last day of the season and spit into the soup in the last home game of the season Fortuna Düsseldorf. In a rather boring and only because of the Düsseldorf situation exciting game, scoring opportunities were initially missed. Ayhan in the 12th and Thommy’s shot after a quarter of an hour were guests’ first goal approaches. Rather happy, Urs Fischer’s team took the lead 1-0 (26th, Ujah). There was no reaction from the Rhinelanders. After the break tea Thommy shot again at the Unioner Gehäuse (49th). The home team drank more target water this afternoon and increased by Ghent to 2:0 (54th). F95 grew up one last time and had a good chance of scoring the goal, but this was simply not to succeed. In the last minute, Berlin’s Abdullahi finally put the lid on it with a 3-0 (90th). Düsseldorf was relegated and the capitals were delighted with the first survival of the club’s history in the highest German league.
The Fischer-Elf lost a good end to the season and only one of the last five Bundesliga games (three wins, one draw). Away the Köpenickers were not quite as successful with four losses from five away games – SC Freiburg (1:3), Hertha BSC (0:4), Mönchengladbach (1:4), FC Köln (2:1), TSG Hoffenheim (0:4). Only the two relegates SC Paderborn and Fortuna Düsseldorf were even worse in the foreign competition. Union also struggled with the goal (41 hits). Only three clubs met less often.
No injured or banned players are known for the Irons either.

Union Berlin plays in the DFB Cup with Karlsruher SC for the first time. Nevertheless, we expect a cup fight in the wildlife park in which everything is possible. Both teams got off to a good start last season and can start the new season optimistically. The Badeners had their problems in their own stadium and were only able to win five games in the wildlife park. Last season it looked similarly bad for the Köpenickers in the guest matches. Only the relegates fared worse away. There were four bankruptcies from the last five away appearances. We’re tapping on a tight cup match with an open outcome. However, the Fischer-Elf will win and enter the second round. Accordingly, our choice for this DFB Cup Tip Forecast also falls on the 3-way bets Union Berlin wins, where betting odds on average wave beyond the 2.00 mark.
