The 18-year-old has a contract until 2031 and the club considers him unsellable, but there have been reports of some misunderstandings with Flick in recent weeks: the Arabs are aiming to step in with an offer that cannot be refused.

Four hundred million euros. Simone Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal is serious and is putting an unprecedented offer on the table in the world of soccer. The object of desire is obviously him, Lamine Yamal, Barcelona’s talent and star of the Spanish national team, who led them to the top of Europe just over a year ago. According to the Spanish website Fichajes.net, the Arab club has already made contact with Barcelona’s transfer team, who, however, have rejected the offer for the time being. “Yamal is not for sale,” they say in Catalonia: the 18-year-old is tied to a contract until 2031, which provides for a fixed salary of around €10 million, plus a signing bonus of €25 million spread over six years. These are significant figures, which only Saudi Pro League clubs could afford to match. Precisely.

Yamal is currently struggling with groin inflammation that forced him to miss both Barcelona’s last La Liga match (lost 4-1 in Seville) and the Spanish national team’s call-up for the doubleheader against Georgia and Bulgaria, qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup. His presence in Saturday’s Catalan derby against Girona is also in doubt: Flick’s goal is to take as little risk as possible to have him available for the Clásico on October 26.

Barça, a bad moment —  The offer for Yamal comes at a difficult time for Barcelona, which went into the break after two defeats in the Champions League (1-2 against PSG) and the league. According to Fichajes.net, it was the defeat in Seville that opened up an internal rift between Hansi Flick and the Blaugrana dressing room: the German coach reportedly reprimanded the team, demanding greater commitment and intensity both in training and in matches, while the players—including Yamal himself—complained about a lack of dialogue and understanding on the part of the coach and staff. A situation that, according to reports in Spain, could have serious repercussions in terms of the transfer market. And Al-Hilal’s offer further complicates matters.
