This decision was made by Interior Minister Piantedosi following the events in Cremona and the firecracker that hit home goalkeeper Audero
Away games banned for Inter fans until March 23. This is the decision taken by Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi following the firecracker that was thrown last Sunday from the section occupied by Nerazzurri fans in Cremona and hit home goalkeeper Emil Audero.
“Following the serious disturbances that occurred,” reads the ministerial statement, “the Minister of the Interior has imposed a ban on away travel for Inter fans until March 23, 2026, as well as a ban on the sale of tickets to residents of Lombardy for the same matches.” The measure, according to the Interior Ministry, “is aimed at ensuring the protection of public order and safety and preventing the recurrence of incidents that could compromise the smooth running of sporting events.” The Milan-Inter match on March 8 is excluded from the measures, given that there will be no fan movements. The away matches banned will therefore be Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo next Sunday and Lecce and Florence.
