No small service, no party?

During the international break, Tim Kleindienst once again drew attention to himself with strong performances. The attacker scored in both matches against Italy for the DFB team and currently seems to be set as a nine by coach Julian Nagelsmann. Meanwhile, in the Bundesliga, Kleindienst is the offensive life insurance for Borussia Mönchengladbach. It is all the more annoying that the 29-year-old will have to watch from the sidelines on Saturday afternoon due to his yellow-red card two weeks ago.

Nevertheless, the chances of the team from the Lower Rhine region scoring against RBL have rarely been better in recent years than they are at present. This is primarily due to the fact that the team from the center of the city have not won away from home in six Bundesliga games and are lagging far behind their own expectations. Incidentally, the teams are separated by just two points in the table, so that the home side could even overtake the cup semi-finalists in the table if a home win between Gladbach and RB Leipzig comes true.

However, the bookmakers in Germany are somewhat skeptical about this and are offering lower odds on the team of coach Marco Rose, who could celebrate his 50th (!) victory in his 90th Bundesliga game on the sidelines of the Bulls, before the encounter between Gladbach and RB Leipzig. The football coach also has a past with Mönchengladbach, where he has a win rate of 49%, second only to a certain Hennes Weisweiler in the all-time rankings.

Gladbach vs. RB Leipzig forecast AI

Before the match between Gladbach and RB Leipzig, the AI forecast is for an extremely high-scoring match. Adding the xG values of both teams (Gladbach: 1.70 & RB Leipzig: 1.91), you get an expected total of 3.61 goals. Consequently, the “BETSiE” believes in at least four goals after 90 minutes.

Gladbach – Statistics & current form

Borussia Mönchengladbach is currently one of the Bundesliga’s in-form teams. Since matchday 19, only FC Bayern (19) and FSV Mainz 05 (17) have picked up more points than the Lower Rhine side, who have won five of their last eight matches to put themselves in a promising position in the race for a European place. In seventh place, they are only two points behind SC Freiburg (6th) and their next opponents, Leipzig (5th). After an absence of more than five years, a return to international competition beckons.

Gladbach have recently lost a lot of ground at home

In order to increase their chances of competing against other clubs in a European competition in the coming season, the Fohlen must improve their home record in the final stretch. In the calendar year 2025, they have only managed to secure four points from the five matches they have played at home so far (1-1-3). In the home table for the year, Borussia is in second-to-last place, just ahead of TSG Hoffenheim. Most recently, there were even two home defeats in a row against FSV Mainz 05 and FC Augsburg. Both times, exactly three goals were conceded.

Incidentally, Gladbach have only managed to score more than one goal in one of the five Bundesliga home games mentioned since the winter break. With Tim Kleindienst, by far the most dangerous scorer (15 goals), being suspended at the weekend and one of the better defenses in the Bundesliga traveling to Borussia Park.

In general, and contrary to the assessment of the artificial intelligence, I am not averse to considering underbetting. For example, the under 3.5 is quoted at 1.63 in the Interwetten app. Incidentally, Interwetten is also one of the best betting providers with Paysafecard deposit options. In at least six of the last eight Bundesliga home games with BMG participation, a maximum of three goals were scored, and the under 2.5 would have been possible four times.

RB Leipzig – Statistics & current form

Many explanations for RB Leipzig’s so far messed up season have already come to nothing. Certainly, the enormous injury problem plays a major role, but underperformance by key players and the multiple demands on a quality squad that is not necessarily designed for three competitions are also reasons why the central city team could even miss out on European business for the first time since they were promoted to the Bundesliga. However, the team in fifth place in the table is not looking down these days and weeks, but rather continuing to look up. The three-point gap to Mainz (3rd) and Frankfurt (4th) should definitely be closed in order to be able to make their mark in the premier league in 2025/26 as well.

RB Leipzig has been waiting for almost four months for a BL away win

But especially the most recent impressions from the home game before the international break against Borussia Dortmund suggest that the mission promises to be a very difficult one. After a good first half and a well-deserved 2-0 lead, the home side completely collapsed against the Black and Yellows, who were not exactly bursting with self-confidence. They gave away top-class chances by the minute and in the end they only managed to bag an important three points thanks to BVB’s catastrophic conversion of chances.

In the end, however, the 13th clean sheet of the season was recorded. By way of comparison, only Juventus have kept more clean sheets than the Saxons in the top European leagues, who, in terms of goals conceded, have the fourth-best defense in the Bundesliga.

In the last seven Bundesliga matches alone, they have managed five clean sheets, which put the attractive Gladbach v RB Leipzig betting odds on under-goals in an even better light. If Peter Gulacsi keeps his clean sheet again on Saturday afternoon, it points to an away win, which would bring a 2.42 with it at Betano and seems appealing in connection with the Betano bonus.

After six Bundesliga away games without a win (0-4-2) and even three goalless draws in a row, the Rose team must aim to win at seventh-placed Stuttgart. At the same time, it’s also about boosting self-confidence and getting a good feeling for the upcoming cup week. Next Wednesday, RBL will play at home against VfB Stuttgart for a place in the final of the DFB Cup.

Gladbach – RB Leipzig Direct comparison / H2H record

The head-to-head between Gladbach and RB Leipzig makes the odds tip significantly in the direction of the guests. In fact, Borussia has only scored 0.76 points on average in 17 BL games against the Bulls. Three wins stand against four draws and already ten (!) defeats. Four times in a row, Leipzig even kept a clean sheet against the foals. However, caution is advised, because three of the last four away games in Borussia Park were lost by the central city team…

Gladbach – RB Leipzig Tip

An interesting and important duel will take place on Saturday afternoon at Borussia Park in Mönchengladbach. The seventh-placed team welcomes the fifth-placed team at home and, with a win, even has the opportunity to overtake them in the table. However, I think it is rather unlikely that the foals will actually put the highly rated guests from Leipzig in their place. On the one hand, because Tim Kleindienst, the most important attacker, is suspended. On the other hand, against the background that RBL is a real bogey opponent for the team from the Lower Rhine region. Gladbach has only won four out of 17 Bundesliga duels.

So I go with the double chance X2 and combine it with a maximum of four goals in the game. The Rose team has recently played three 0-0 away games, while a maximum of three goals have been scored in six of Borussia’s last eight home games. You can get a whopping 1.80 on NEO.bet for my Gladbach vs. RB Leipzig tip on X2 & Under 4.5. My stake is six units.
