The defence is the biggest weakness on the Lower Rhine with 36 goals conceded after 23 match days. All teams in a single-digit league position are better in the back.
In the DFB Cup, there was only one goal conceded in the three rounds, but in the first two games, the team faced lower league opponents such as FC Oberneuland (8:0) and SV Elversberg (5:0). The 2-1 victory at the VfB Stuttgart in the quarter-finals was thus the first opponent at eye level. Borussia already scored 15 goals in the ongoing competition. Only second division player Holstein Kiel scored more often.
Famana Quizera, Mamadou Doucoure, Stefan Lainer and Torben Müsel will be out on Tuesday due to injury.

The Terzic team has recovered from the short crisis with the second straight to zero win in the league and has now been unbeaten for three games (7 points). With 48 goals in the season, BVB is the second best offensive team in the Bundesliga.
The CL eighth finalist has always played in the cup this season against sub-league opponents. In round one there was a clear 5-0 victory for the third division MSV Duisburg and in the second round there was no chance for the second division player Eintracht Braunschweig (2-0). The quarter-finals against Bundesliga relegated SC Paderborn was a cramping victory at the back (3-2 A.D.).
