Seven goals and continuous twists and turns at the Partenio: Palumbo decisive in the final minutes. Calò and Ghedjemis bring Frosinone level on points with Modena. Bortolussi saves Padova from defeat. Tiritiello gives Entella three points against the Tuscans in the final minutes

Goals, own goals, comebacks, and counter-comebacks. The early match of the eleventh day of Serie B is a spectacle: at Partenio, Avellino returns to winning ways after more than a month, beating Reggiana 4-3. After a boring first half, punctuated by Simic’s own goal and Insigne’s equalizing penalty, the match explodes in the second half. Biancolino’s team took the lead in the 50th minute with Biasci, but in seven minutes they were overwhelmed by a brace from an extraordinary Novakovich, who made it 2-3 with a solo effort. Two minutes later, Simic made up for his own goal and equalized. In the 70th minute, Palumbo became the match winner of the afternoon with the goal that sealed the final 4-3 score. Frosinone won in Carrara (0-2) and temporarily joined Modena at the top of the table, who face Juve Stabia on Sunday: goals from Calò and Ghedjemis defeated Calabro’s men. Padova drew for the third game in a row: Bortolussi’s penalty five minutes from time canceled out Merkaj’s opener, making it 1-1 against Sudtirol. At the Comunale di Chiavari, Tiritiello scored again: a winning tap-in from a free kick by Entella’s goal-scoring defender gave Chiappella’s team the victory against Empoli. It is the fifth goal of the season (all scored at home) for the center back born in 1995. Second defeat in four games for Dionisi: still without a win since his arrival on the Tuscan bench. At 7:30 p.m., Palermo takes on Pescara. The last three games will be played on Sunday: Modena vs. Juve Stabia, Monza vs. Spezia, and Sampdoria vs. Mantova.
