Will Marmoush and Co. put on a show on Saturday evening?
With FC Barcelona, FC Bayern and Chelsea FC, there are currently only three clubs from the top European leagues that have scored more goals than Eintracht Frankfurt across all competitions. In the Bundesliga alone, the Hessians have already scored 26 goals. Unsurprisingly, the Frankfurt v Werder Bremen tip for Saturday evening is therefore again aimed at a few goals in the game.
This is also due to the guests from the Weser, who have so far presented themselves as very strong away from home in the current year and also usually take a very offensive approach. The last few encounters of the Werner team away from home were always characterized by spectacle and goals on both sides, which also supports a potential Frankfurt v. Werder Bremen forecast for a lively 90 minutes.
The favorites role lies relatively clearly with the host, especially since the SGE celebrated more victories in their own Bundesliga history against no other club than against the Hanseatic. However, if you want to bet on a surprise coup, you can get top odds of 4.57 for the guest three at Merkur Bets between Frankfurt and Werder Bremen. To reduce your own risk, it makes sense to register with Merkur Bets and then benefit from the Merkur Bets new customer bonus.
Frankfurt vs. Werder Bremen prediction AI
Taking into account various xG-Stats and after evaluating huge amounts of data, the artificial intelligence of the betting base has determined that Eintracht Frankfurt will win. The xG values calculated by the “BETSiE” are 2.23 to 1.13 in favor of the SGE, so that – also considering the estimated 62% probability of victory for the Adlerträger – even the handicap of -1 can be considered. In any case, there seems to be value in the Frankfurt vs. Werder Bremen AI prediction of a home win with at least two goals difference, with a 2.77 top rate in the Betano app.
Frankfurt – Statistics & current form
Frankfurt are currently riding a wave of success. For the first time under Dino Toppmöller and for the first time since October 2022, the eagle bearers recently celebrated four consecutive competitive wins, putting them in a promising position in all three competitions. In the Bundesliga, only FC Bayern and RB Leipzig have collected more points, in the DFB Cup, the SGE has made it to the round of 16, and in the UEFA Europa League, too, everything is going according to plan after ten points from four matches.
21 goals were scored in the first ten halves with SGE participation
The outstanding offensive duo Marmoush/Ekitike has played a major role in the remarkable consistency of the black and red whites. While the French youngster has already scored one more goal (five) in his nine Bundesliga appearances so far than in the previous season (four), Omar Marmoush has already scored eleven goals (!).
His 18 scoring points are the highest of any player in Europe’s top five leagues. In the past three competitive matches, the Egyptian has even scored a direct free-kick in each of them. It is therefore hardly surprising that the odds of 2.20 at Bet365 for another Marmoush goal are also among our top tips ahead of the Saturday evening game between Frankfurt and Werder Bremen.
Another of Eintracht’s strengths that should not be overlooked is their superb ability to get off to a good start in games. In fact, no other Bundesliga club has scored more goals in the first 45 minutes than the Hessians. 15 in the first ten match days. In nine Bundesliga games in a row, Toppmöller’s team has recently scored at least one goal before half-time. In five of these nine encounters, the Over 1.5 (1st half) would even have been possible, which I am considering again for the upcoming duel in the Deutsche Bank Park Frankfurt against Werder Bremen in view of attractive betting odds of 2.34.
Werder Bremen – Statistics & current form
With a record of four wins, three draws and three defeats, SV Werder Bremen currently occupies a place in the worry-free midfield of the table. Considering that they are only two points behind fourth-placed double winners Leverkusen and a whopping seven points ahead of the relegation playoff place, there is satisfaction on the Weser.
In particular, the important 2-1 win against Holstein Kiel before the international break put smiles on faces at the Osterdeich again a week after the crushing 4-1 defeat in Mönchengladbach. However, the former German champions have not yet managed two wins in a row in this Bundesliga season…
When Bremen is a guest, then it’s a struggle
On the other hand, the green-whites have been able to convince across the board so far, especially away from home. In five away games, they managed a whopping ten out of a possible 15 points. Bremen won in Mainz, in Hoffenheim and at VfL Wolfsburg. Moreover, with 13 goals, the Hanseatic team has the second-best away offense in the German top flight. Only Bayern scored more often and better than the team of coach Ole Werner, who, however, also had to swallow twelve goals against in opposing stadiums.
In total, 25 (!) goals were scored in the aforementioned five Bundesliga guest appearances by Bremen, exactly five on average per game. In addition, a bet on Over 1.5 (1st half) would always have paid off. In fact, 16 of the 25 goals mentioned were scored in the first half. All the more reason to place a bet on the number of goals scored between Frankfurt and Werder Bremen, after 90 or, as mentioned, after 45 minutes! We particularly recommend downloading the Sunmaker app, as the betting provider offers impressively high odds, according to the Sunmaker review.
Frankfurt – Werder Bremen Direct comparison / H2H record
Since Ole Werner took charge at SV Werder Bremen, the Hanseatic League has never managed to beat Eintracht Frankfurt in four attempts. In 2022/23, there were two SGE successes, and finally two draws in the previous season. In fact, the Hessians have only lost one of the last nine Bundesliga duels against their upcoming opponents. Historically, there have been 38 (!) Frankfurt victories against Werder – more against no other Bundesliga team!
Frankfurt – Werder Bremen Tip
Saturday evening games have not been a particularly good place for Eintracht Frankfurt in the recent past. Only one of the last nine top-flight games on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. was won. However, the same applies to Bremen, who were also last able to win a direct duel against the SGE in 2021.
Given that the guests from the Weser have so far performed very strongly away from home, collecting ten points from five encounters, my main tip is more in the direction of over-goals. Both teams have strong, in-form offensives, which have already excelled on numerous occasions, especially in the first 45 minutes. Eintracht scored 15 goals before half-time; in five away games involving Werder, 16 goals were scored in the first half.
My preferred approach is therefore to suggest a bet on at least two goals in the first half between Frankfurt and Werder Bremen.
