One of the greatest strengths of the Italian national team is the compact defence. The Italian backing team was very secure, especially in the group stage, and did not concede against Switzerland, Turkey and Wales. The defensive network of the English is to be regarded as the strength par excellence. Only one goal has been conceded in the competition so far. This came about only in the semi-final against Denmark. The previous five propositions were denied to zero.
