England vs. Romania Tip & Quotas, 06.06.2021 – 18:00
On Sunday evening, June 6, 2021 at 6 p.m., the English national football team will play the last friendly match before THE EURO 2021 in the home Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough against Romania’s selection. The Three Lions were able to beat Austria with a B-11 a few days ago in the same stadium and have won all international matches so far this year. The Tricolorii remained in the negative strudel last Wednesday and lost even against Georgia. The Romanian national team will not be present at the upcoming European Championships.

Gareth Southgate’s national team was supported in Middlesbrough by 8750 spectators against Austria and competed without Champions League winners Ben Chilwell, Reece James and Mason Mount from Chelsea London. The Three Lions had the better opportunities and used one of them after the change of sides to the 1-0 lead (57th, Bukayo Saka). It wasn’t until the final stage that the guests got better off and had a chance to make up for the shot, but the B-11 of the Englishmen took the thin lead to the finish.
The Southgate team has won all four international matches this year. The three qualifying games for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar were successful against San Marino (5:0), Albania (2:0) and Poland (2:1). With the expected fifth victory in the fifth game in 2021, the Three Lions will be well equipped and highly motivated to enter the three group games of the European Championship against Croatia, Scotland and the Czech Republic. The final round of the European Championships in France in 2016 was already after the eighteenth finals history. In the preliminary round they remained unbeaten – Russia (1:1), Wales (2:1), Slovakia (0:0), but also won only one game. In the round of the last 16 teams there was then the blamable 1-2 against Iceland.
It is likely that the three CL winners from Chelsea FC against Romania will be given time to get into EM mood slowly. Captain Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) leads the 1966 World Cup winner to the field. The star-studded national team also includes two Bundesliga players from Borussia Dortmund – Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham. With winged flasher Sancho is even the second most expensive player in the English squad (100 million).

This week, the Eastern Europeans welcomed Georgia to the Ilie-Oana Stadium at home and were unable to survive even against this opponent. With the red card shortly before the half-time whistle for F. Tanase, the home team even underplayed and were left behind by Mikautadze after just over an hour (61.). Then one of the Georgians flew off the course (64th, yellow-red Kvirkvelia). Razvan Marin could not change the penalty due (65.). Instead, on the other side there was the 2-0 for the guests by Aburjania (71st). In the final period Andrei Ivan scored the 1-2 goal (78th), but it was no longer enough for Romania to equalise.
Mirel Radoi’s national team collected the third bankruptcy in a row and this year was only able to win the prelude to the World Cup agony at home against North Macedonia (3:2). In the home game against Germany (0:1) and Armenia (2:3) the Tricolorii lost. In the coming EURO, Romanians will only be spectators. Five years ago in France, the Romanian selection was still there, flew out early after the group phase after defeats against hosts France (1-2) and Albania (0-1). The points win against Switzerland (1:1) was just a waste.
The star in the Romanian national squad is Razvan Marin from the Italian club Cagliari Calcio. The captain is defenseman Vlad Chiriches (US Sassuolo), who also earns his rolls in Italy. Otherwise, Romania has to a large extent mediocre actors who have not been able to convince recently. A lot of hope is placed on the young forward Ianis Hagi of the Glasgow Rangers. The 22-year-old is the young hopes of Eastern Europeans.

England is a clear favourite against Romania for victory. If the Three Lions win, it would be the fifth full success this year in the fifth international match. The Southgate team was able to win with a B selection against Austria a few days ago and will hardly have any problems with an even better team against a weaker opponent. The Tricolorii travels to the island with three bankruptcies at a time and will probably only act as a sparring partner. Anything but a clear victory of the English in Middlesbrough would be a huge surprise. So we recommend for this international Tip Forecast also the 3-way bets on England wins, where betting odds wave in the range around 1.25 to 1.30.
