Dortmund against Hoffenheim Tipp & Quoten, 27.08.2021 – 20:30 o’clock
After the Dortmund offensive spectacle at the opening of the season against Eintracht Frankfurt, the Schwarz-Gelben landed on the hard ground again last weekend in Freiburg.
At TSG it was similar with a big exclamation mark and an Kantersieg at FC Augsburg. In the following home game against Union Berlin last Sunday, the Hoeneß-Elf wanted to gold the threesome, but did the math without the Köpenicker.
For the sportsbook providers, the duel between Dortmund and Hoffenheim seems to be a clear matter and so the “Yellow Bee Maja” is sent into the race as a clear favourite on the basis of the Bundesliga odds. For example, the bookmaker Betway, tested by Bundesliga trend, offers odds of 1.45 for tip 1 to the Bundesliga match Dortmund – Hoffenheim (odds: 25.08.2021, 5:54 pm). But is a tip on BVB the best choice at the moment?

Marco Rose’s team could not have started any worse in Breisgau. In the already unpleasant away game in the Dreisam, the home team took a 1-0 lead after six minutes with a Grifo free kick. BVB still had more of the game and had some opportunities to equalize through Bellingham (11th) and Haaland (14th). Shortly thereafter, Bellingham left luck again and only hit the post (32nd). On the other side, however, the sports club also remained dangerous and did not take advantage of some gifts from the Dortmund back team to 2-0 – Schlotterbeck (30th) and Jeong (33rd).
After the change of sides, the game started in a similar way to the start of the game – Sallai increased the SCF’s score to 2-0 (53rd). On the other side, Borussia took advantage of his opportunities this time and scored 1-2 on a deflected flank from Passlack (59th, own goal Keitel). As a result, however, the guests had a hard time, also because Haaland was barely visible and when the striker forgave miserably (68th). In the final phase, Dortmund continued to look for the way forward, but despite 75% possession of the ball, there was no chance of a significant equalisation.
The series of eight wins in a row across the seasons has now come to an end in Freiburg. After a strong 5-2 home win against Eintracht Frankfurt, BVB have again landed on the hard ground after much praise. In the meantime, there was also a defeat at home in the DFL Supercup against FC Bayern Munich. The last five home league games have been won by the Westphalians in a row and they are aiming for the sixth triumph in Signal-Iduna-Park against the second place in the table. With six goals of the season, the two best offensive series also meet.
Marcel Schmelzer, Mateu Morey Bauza, Soumaila Coulibaly, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Thorgan Hazard are due to injury on Friday night against Hoffenheim.

In 1899, a highly motivated Berlin team faced a highly motivated Berlin team, which started a few days before with a decent amount of gas in Sinsheim despite the European Cup match. In the 10th minute, Gießelmann put the Iron Team ahead 1-0. On the other side, the team of Sebastian Hoeneß managed to quickly equalize with a header by Akpoguma (14th). It went back and forth – Kruse’s free kick clapped to the bar (17th), Awoniyi failed on the opposite side to TSG keeper Baumann (20th). Three minutes later, Bruun Larsen also lost to Berlin goalie Luthe (23rd). Shortly afterwards, however, the Dane was able to cheer, the newcomer scoring 2-1 for the home team after half an hour.
In the second period of the game, the Unioners made a lightning start and came out of the catacombs better – 2:2 Awoniyi (47th). The game was not as fast as in half one, but there were still chances, as with Dabbur (54th) and Kruse on the other side (63rd). After that, the game continued to flatten and there were no more bullets on either side. In the after-play period, Berlin’s Friedrich flew off the course with yellow-red (90th +4th).
After their 4-0 victory on the first day of the season at FC Augsburg, the Hoeneß-Elf certainly expected more in the first home game of the season than a points split against Union Berlin, who were still playing in the European Cup during the week and had a double load. The Kraichgau team have been undefeated for nine league games and have won four league titles over the course of the season. In the last four guest appearances in front of the threesome in Augsburg they remained undefeated, but also played only in a draw. The 4-0 victory in the FCA was a long-awaited away win. Last season, Hoffenheim remained without a win in the entire second half of the season.
Ihlas Bebou, Benjamin Hübner, Havard Nordtveit and Pavel Kaderabek are injured and will not be able to attend Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund goes into the match against TSG Hoffenheim as favourites. Despite the defeat last match day at SC Freiburg, BVB is often a completely different team in front of a home backdrop. In addition, the Black and Yellows have won the last five home games in their own stadium.
The Kraichgau team are still undefeated this young season and are just as dangerous on the offensive as the Borussia are at the moment. Both teams scored the most goals so far in the new season, scoring six goals. This promises to be a fast-paced duel in Signal Iduna Park. We’re guessing a high goalscoring game with scores on both sides as well as a narrow win for the Rose Elf.
Even though the outcome may be quite clear for one or the other, we do ourselves with a Bundesliga tip on Dortmund wins a little harder than we would have thought. Accordingly, we see the better choice in scoring bets on the market that both teams will score. The offered Dortmund – Hoffenheim odds are also slightly better.
