Denmark vs. Finland Tips & Quotas, 12.06.2021 – 18:00
The national football teams of Denmark and Finland will meet on Saturday evening, June 12, 2021 at 6 p.m., at the 2021 European Championships in Group B at the Telia Parks Stadium in Copenhagen. The Danes have missed the last two European Championships rounds and were most recently present in Poland and Ukraine in 2012. But the northern Europeans have not come far.
The Suomi has never been able to qualify for a major football event and will be participating in one EURO for the first time. The Finns have never played in a world championship before.

Danish Dynamite celebrates her return to the big European football stage after almost 10 years of abstinence. At the last tournament in Poland and Ukraine in 2012, Kasper Hjulmand’s team ended early despite the opening win against Holland (1-0) after the preliminary round and two bankruptcies against Portugal and Germany. The biggest and only success so far was in 1992 in the final of the European Championship against Germany (2-0). As a replacement team from the former Yugoslavia, the Scandinavians made football history almost 30 years ago.
The Hjulmand team played a strong European Championship qualification and remained unbeaten in eight games (four wins, four draws). Three games were real edge victories against Georgia (5:1) and twice 6:0 against Gibraltar. Nevertheless, in Group D, only second place was enough behind Switzerland (one more point). Ireland, Georgia and Gibraltar were able to leave Denmark behind and thus solve the direct EM ticket.
With a total value of 300 million euros, the Danish National Cadre has steadily evolved and is now a serious opponent in Europe. Captain Simon Kjaer of AC Milan leads the team to the field, which has its highest quality in the midfield. Central defenders Andreas Christensen (Chelsea London), Jannik Vestergaard (FC Southampton) and the still quite young Joachim Andersen from FC Fulham all earn their money in the Premier League, the best league in the world.
With the storm duo Yussuf Poulsen (RB Leipzig) and Kasper Dolberg (OGC Nice), the Danes are well positioned without being blessed with world-class at the front. In the midfield, Pierre Emile Höjbjerg (Tottenham Hotspur) and Christian Eriksen (Inter Milan) are the most valuable players with a market value of 35 million euros each.

Markku Kanerva’s national team wrote club history in 2019 and will be taking part in a European Championship for the first time. In a group with Denmark, Belgium and Russia, surviving the group phase is difficult, but not impossible. Although the Suomi is inferior in quality to each of the three opponents, the Finns can still beat Russia or Denmark in one match.
The European Championship qualification in Group J has provided for ten games, of which Finland has lost four. Against the later group winner Italy there were no points in the two matches (0:2, 1:2). There were further bankruptcies in Bosnia (1:4) and Greece (1:2). With Armenia and Liechtenstein, the Suomi had two grateful opponents and the Greeks are also only one laughing stock in European football.
As expected, the Italians marched through the group stage with 10 victories, while Finland continued the group with 18 points and still made the EM qualification perfect.
The Finnish national squad is worth almost 30 million euros and is hardly competitive compared to Europe. Ex-chalker and midfielder Teemu Pukki of Norwich City from the English second division is the most valuable player with 7 million. Side man Joel Pohjanpalo plays at Union Berlin and usually only plays the joker role.
The biggest weakness of the Suomi is the defensive, there are no players who have great experience and only real football connoisseurs have ever heard of it. In midfield, Glen Kamara (Glasgow Rangers) and Robin Lod Minnesota United (MLS) are even better players.
Recent Matches from Finland
Finland: 1 win – 2 draws – 2 defeats
4 wins Denmark – 1 draw – 0 wins Finland
Denmark is a clear favourite against Finland in Group B’s first European Championship game. The Finns are participating for the first time in a European Championship and are among the underdogs in the final round. Nevertheless, the Suomi has the stuff to surprise and to confront Danish Dynamite. In this Scandinavian duel, however, the Hjulmand elf clearly has the nose at the front.
The quality in the ranks of the 1992 European Champion is much higher and with already eight EURO participations, there is also plenty of experience. Nevertheless, we are still betting on a tight match in Copenhagen with goals on both sides. Denmark scores just under the first three points in the European Championships.
For this EM 2021 Tip Forecast we have two bets in mind – on the one hand the 3-way bets Denmark wins and on the other hand the goal bets on the market „Both teams hit? YES“. Depending on the sports betting tip, the betting odds offered then vary, whereby the bookmakers rate the goal bets significantly higher. Personally, we tend towards the first tip on Danish Dynamite.
