The SV Darmstadt certainly did not imagine the start of the new year. With a victory Sandhausen could possibly leave the relegation places, provided St. Pauli does not win against Bochum on Thursday, but does not pass Darmstadt. Although Sandhausen has 15 points on the relegation spot and thus only three points less than Darmstadt, you would also have to catch up with twelve goals, i.e. win away accordingly with six goals difference. Of course, the chances are not high. Victory would be important enough, because a draw would hardly improve the situation. Rather, you could even slip to 17th place. After winning the first leg, Sandhausen also wants to score points on Wednesday.
