Will the Reds extend their series against the Eagles?
Lthough Liverpool are currently the main chasers in the Premier League from leaders Manchester City, who are soaring in their own spheres. However, the Reds have struggled of late, especially in away games in the English capital. The Klopp team is winless in four games in London (three draws, one defeat). Now, however, the Scousers are hosting one of their favourite opponents.
With a total of 19 goals scored, LFC have won all of their last six Premier League away games with the Glaziers. In the run-up to the encounter between Crystal Palace and Liverpool, the odds are clearly in favour of the visitors from Merseyside.
Liverpool have dominated this match impressively of late. Not only have the Reds scored 16 goals in their last four league games against the Eagles, but they have not conceded a single goal. Accordingly, there is a lot of value in betting that LFC will win this away game against Liverpool with at least a two-goal difference.
Crystal Palace – Statistics & current form
Crystal Palace were once a founder member of the Premier League, but were relegated directly in the first year of the league, which was introduced in 1992. Three more relegations followed before the Eagles returned to the top flight of English football in the summer of 2013 after an eight-year absence and established themselves there.
The Glaziers have never finished in single figures in the final table. In recent years, however, the points needed to stay in the league have mostly come together around Easter time, so the Londoners have had a very carefree time overall.
Only five points from a possible 15 from their last five league games
Things are also looking very rosy for the Premier League’s eleventh-placed side at present. The capitals have already collected 24 points and thus have a comfortable cushion of eleven points ahead of the first relegation place.
And things could be even better for Patrick Vieira’s side, who recorded a surprising 2-0 away win at Manchester City at the end of October but have won only one of their last five league games (two draws, two defeats).
The Africa Cup defences are noticeably weakening Crystal Palace
The last home game at Selhurst Park even saw a 3-2 defeat to West Ham United in the London derby, before another three-goal draw failed to materialise away at Brighton (1-1). This also shows that the Africa Cup is hitting the Glaziers hard, who had to drop three of their regular players in Wilfried Zaha, Jordan Ayew and Cheikhou Kouyaté.
Because the Londoners also lack quality across the board, they will be the underdogs in their own stadium against one of their fearsome opponents.

Liverpool – Statistics & current form
Liverpool remained without a title win last season after triumphing in the Champions League in 2019 as well as the English Championship in 2020. The motivation in the Reds camp for the new season was correspondingly high, in which they should attack again in all competitions.
The Merseyside team could win at least one title as early as the end of February. During the week, LFC finally beat Arsenal 2-0 away from home in the EFL Cup semi-final after a goalless draw at Anfield Road to punch their ticket to the final against Chelsea.
Already eleven points behind Manchester City
However, the Scousers have not yet completely written off the championship. Manchester City have taken a total of 13 points from their last 12 league games, all of which the Sky Blues have won, more than the Reds, who are currently eleven points behind first place with one game left to play.
The current runners-up in the table could still be there for the taking if the Citizens go through a dry spell over the course of a long second leg, making it all the more important that nothing is left undone in games such as the away game at the Glaziers.
16-0 goals from last four league games against Crystal Palace
Accordingly, the Klopp eleven should approach this week’s away game at Selhurst Park with seriousness, despite also being weakened by African Cup duty and a double burden of the EFL Cup. The betting on the Reds’ next three points at Crystal Palace against Liverpool is also under such a good star because their recent record against the Glaziers has been more than respectable.
LFC have won all of their last nine league games against the Eagles, scoring a total of 16 goals in their last four wins. With this in mind, the drought in the state capital should now come to an end.

Crystal Palace – Liverpool Direct Comparison / H2H Balance
Head to head: 14 – 11 – 34
There have been a total of 59 meetings between the two teams so far and with 34 victories the Reds clearly lead the direct comparison. Most recently, LFC have won nine games in a row in the Premier League alone. Klopp’s side have won their last four games by a total of 16-0 goals to nil.
Crystal Palace – Liverpool Tip
When it comes to Crystal Palace against Liverpool, the prediction clearly goes to the Reds, who have also won all of their last six away Premier League games at Selhurst Park, scoring 19 goals. Although the Glaziers have a solid record, they have only won one of their last five league games. Accordingly, little should go wrong for the in-form Klopp squad, especially as the London hosts are also much more affected by their Africa Cup absences.
Also looking at the fact that the Reds have scored 16-0 goals in their last four victories over the Glaziers, there is much to suggest that it will not be close at Selhurst Park at all, but that LFC will win by at least a two-goal difference.
