Cadiz looking to pick up points against relegation
The relegation battle in La Liga could well be explosive this season. Many teams are involved, including the hosts from Cadiz. Also, four wins in total this season is certainly no mean feat. What gives a little hope is the home record. Now, 1.1 points per game is certainly not outstanding, but out of ten games at home, Cadiz only lost three. They also score more goals at home than away, albeit only nine in total.
In addition, there has been a slight improvement in results in recent weeks. Seven points from the last five league games are not too bad. That’s the same haul as Girona has had in the same period. Girona – Statistics & current form
Girona FC are in a slightly better position than their hosts from Cadiz. With 24 points from 20 games, however, it is not possible to speak of a completely relaxed situation. Most recently, however, they celebrated an important 1-0 home win against Valencia, which allowed coach Michel’s team to put a little more distance between themselves and the relegation places.
Girona has gone through better phases this season, but also weaker ones. Overall, however, the visitors can be satisfied. As already mentioned, Girona have also picked up seven points in their last five league games. In the whole season, there have already been six victories, which is quite comfortable for a midfield team that has to look towards the relegation zone.
It is striking that the visitors have scored 27 goals so far. This gives Girona the best attack of all the teams in the bottom half of the table. Girona have only failed to score four times this season, including against FC Barcelona and Villarreal. So especially in the duels against rivals from the bottom of the table, the team shows itself offensively stable.
