Bröndby v RB Salzburg Tipp & Quoten, 25.08.2021 – 21:00 o’clock – Champions League Qualification
Bröndby longs for a return to the Champions League after more than 20 years. The reigning Danish champion was last in the royal class in the last millennium. In the 1998-99 season, they even met FC Bayern Munich and celebrated a 2-1 home win over the German record champions in their first group game. The remaining five matches, including one against FC Barcelona and Manchester United, were then all lost.
The champion from Austria was in the CL last season and flew out with only four points after the preliminary round and was relegated to the Europa League.

The team of Niels Frederiksen has not really started this season. Even at the weekend, the Danish champions did not get past a draw at Odense BK, despite a 2-0 half-time lead after the lightning goal of Uhre after four minutes and the 2-0 of the forward shortly before the intermission (43rd). In the second 45 minutes, Bröndby lost the lead. In the 55th minute the home team scored a 1-2 goal by Sabbi and equalised in the final period to 2-2 (84th, Lieder). After six days in the 3F Superliga, Bröndby is ranked ninth out of 12 first division teams.
The Frederiksen team is still without a win this season, taking four draws from the first six games of the season and losing twice. On the final day of the match, Odense BK stopped the losing streak. Previously, two defeats were recorded at FC Copenhagen (2:4) and at home against Nordsjaelland (0:1). Significantly: With 11 goals conceded, the champion is the weakest defender in the league.
Bröndby IF entered only in the 3rd round of the Champions League qualification and has only one hurdle to go to the main round. The first game in Austria against the champion went to the favourites with 2:1. In spite of the early head-to-head management of Uuhr (4th), the cops still turned the game around and won by the goals of Adeyemi (56th) and Aaronson (90th) with 2:1. In the last years the Danes repeatedly failed in the qualifying games for the Europa League. The 11-time Danish champion last participated in a main round in 2008, when the EL was still called the UEFA Cup. Thirteen years ago, however, the Danes immediately flew out in round one after only two European Cup games against Rosenborg BK.
Blas Riveros and Peter Bjur will be out on Wednesday due to injury. The players Tobias Börkeeiet, Thomas Mikkelsen, Sigurd Rosted, Mathias Greve and Christian Cappis are in Corona quarantine and will not play.

The 15-time Austrian champion has done his homework in the Austrian Admiral Bundesliga on the last day of the game and beat Austria Klagenfurt 3-1 on his own four walls. Adeyemi scored a 1-0 lead against the promoted team in just three minutes. On the other side, the underdog quickly equalised to 1:1 (14th, Timossi Andersson). In the further course of the game, the guests were able to keep the cops busy for a long time and worked towards a point win. At the beginning of the final period, Matthias Jaissle’s team won the game with the goals of M. Berisha (70th) and Kristensen (84th).
After five matchdays, the champion and cup winner in Austria is still at the top of the league table and has won all five games of the season. On the second day of the game against SV Ried, there was a 7-1 Kantersieg in the first home game of the season. Salzburg is the strongest offensive team (15 hits) and scored the fewest hits at the back (3). So the league primus (seven championships won in a row) marches through the season again.
In the royal class, the Austrians have been there the last two times. Two years ago, RB failed to make it to the sixteen finals and then dropped out of the Euro League as a relegation team, directly in the intermediate round against German representative Eintracht Frankfurt. Last season it was similar with the end after the preliminary round, again as group third. In the EL-intermediate round, it was then against FC Villarreal and Red Bull was eliminated. The Spaniards even won the title later. If Salzburg could survive the qualification against Bröndby, they would be in the Champions League for the third time in a row.
Sekou Koita, Albert Vallci, Chukwubuike Adamu, Zlatko Junuzovic and Luka Sucic are injured in Denmark.

Red Bull Salzburg is favourites to win at Bröndby IF. The Austrian soccer champion won the first leg with 2:1, but he has to be very careful, because even a 1:0 victory for the Danes would be enough to ruin the CL participation of the favourites on the last meters. However, the Frederiksen-Elf has not yet played a good season. In the domestic Superliga, the reigning champions are still waiting for the first three of the season after six days of play.
The situation is quite different for the cops, who won all five games of the season and recently celebrated the seventh championship in a row. We say that the Jaissle-Elf will not lose in Denmark and thus qualifies for the third time in a row for the group phase of the CL.
All in all, however, we find it difficult to follow the forecasts of the betting providers between Bröndby and RB Salzburg without restriction and to tap on the “bulls”. Especially since the odds on an away victory for Salzburg then remain well below the 1.50 mark. The odds for the Double Chance bets are still a piece by piece unattractive.
What remains in the end are the goal bets on the market “Both teams meet? Yes”. The odds offered, which on average are well above 1.60 on average, also justify this tip.
