Will the Blues extend their unbeaten streak?

After almost being relegated last season, Everton FC were in danger of having to go down to second division for a long time in 2024/25 as well. However, a recent unbeaten streak means that the signs are clearly pointing towards them remaining in the league. Should the betting tip of an away win for the Blues come true against Brentford, they could theoretically extend their lead over the first relegation place to up to 17 points.

In view of the fact that the Toffees have not lost in their last six Premier League games (four wins, two draws), our prediction for Brentford against Everton also leans towards the visitors. The Bees have not won their last six competitive home games at Brentford Community Stadium (one draw, five defeats), scoring just three goals in those six home games.

Brentford FC are not fundamentally out of form. The Londoners have won three of their last four Premier League games (one defeat). It is only at home that the Bees are currently not performing well at all, which is why we think Everton FC have a good chance of getting an important point at the Thames.

Brentford – statistics & current form

Brentford Football Club has recovered well after almost being relegated in the previous season. The Bees have already collected 37 points from the first 26 match days and are therefore ranked eleventh in the table.

With a 20-point lead over the first relegation place, not much should go wrong. It is more likely that they will be in with a chance of a European place. For example, they are only six points off sixth place.

Brentford has lost its home strength

However, the Londoners have to get a grip on their recent home misery, which has come from nowhere. At first, almost nothing could be achieved at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Between matchdays 1 and 15 of the 2024/25 season, Thomas Frank’s team had the most home wins (seven), the most home points (22) and the most home goals scored (26) to their name. However, they then only managed to pick up one point from a possible 15 at home in the Premier League.

Brentford still without a home win

If you add the defeat in the FA Cup against Plymouth, the Bees have even gone six home games without a win (one draw, five defeats), which is why it is surprising that the odds are leaning towards Brentford against Everton. Interwetten offers an Interwetten bonus of 2.05 for tip 1.

It is also problematic that Brentford FC is the only Premier League club to have conceded at least one goal in every single home game of the 2024/25 season without exception. Although the Bees have won three of their last four league games (one loss), their recent home form offers little hope.

Everton – Statistics & current form

Everton FC only narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship last summer. The new season also got off to a bad start. The Blues were bottom of the table for four matchdays before they were only just above the line at the turn of the year.

The club therefore made some adjustments to the coaching staff and evidently made a lucky choice with David Moyes. Under the Scotsman, the form curve is pointing steeply upwards. The Toffees now have 31 points and are thus 14 points ahead of the first relegation place.

Everton is flourishing again under David Moyes

The traditional club from Liverpool went six Premier League matches unbeaten (four wins, two draws) and recently scored against top teams such as Tottenham (3:2), Brighton (1:0), Manchester United (2:2) and even city rivals Liverpool FC (2:2).

Another impressive statistic is that after the Blues only managed a single win in 21 consecutive Premier League away games (eight draws, twelve defeats), they have recently celebrated two consecutive away wins under David Moyes.

Everton with strong record against Brentford

Accordingly, the betting tip that David Moyes’s side, who have lost five of his six Premier League matches against the Bees (one win), can claim another point at the Thames is consistent with Brentford against Everton.

At least the record also favors the Toffees, who are not only unbeaten in five Premier League games against Brentford (three wins, two draws), but have kept a clean sheet in three of their last four games against the Bees.

Brentford – Everton Head to head / H2H record

Head to head: 10 – 4 – 11

The two teams have only faced each other 25 times in a competitive game so far, and since a 3-2 home defeat that dates back to May 2022, Everton FC have not lost any of their last five competitive games against Brentford (three wins, two draws). In the first leg at Anfield, the two teams drew 0-0, which is not out of the question this time either.

Brentford vs. Everton tip

The best bookmakers are tipping the odds in favor of the home side in the game between Brentford and Everton, which we consider to be a very bold assessment given that the Bees have lost five of their last six home games (one draw) and scored just three home goals in the process. After all, the Blues are also traveling to the capital in extremely strong form. The Toffees have not lost in their last six Premier League games (four wins, two draws).

Match facts – Brentford v Everton betting tip
  • Brentford are without a win against Everton in five Premier League games (two draws, three defeats)
  • Everton have kept a clean sheet against Brentford in three of their last four Premier League games
  • Brentford are the only team not to keep a clean sheet in any of their 13 Premier League home games in the 2024/25 season
  • Everton have won their last two consecutive Premier League away matches – double the number of wins they have recorded in their previous 21 away matches (one win, eight draws, twelve defeats)
  • Brentford have only taken one point out of a possible 15 from their last five Premier League home matches
  • Everton are without a win in their last 15 Premier League away matches kicked off at 7pm or later (W7 D8 L8)

In view of the fact that the first leg between the two teams did not produce a winner or any goals, the double chance X2 forecast for Brentford against Everton with under 4.5 goals makes the most sense, which also covers the possibility of another goalless draw. For this combined tip, Interwetten offers quotes of 1.85, which we play with four units.
