Brazil v Germany Tipp & Quoten, 22.07.2021 – 13:30 o’clock
For Stefan Kuntz and his German team, the journey at Olympia begins with a real classic. The first group game will be played against Olympic champion Brazil. A task far from easy. Memories of the last final of the Olympic Games in August 2016 will soon be awakened. There, the Selecao had prevailed with superstar Neymar in a penalty shootout against the German selection of coach Horst Hrubesch. The final will be reloaded in Yokohama on 22 July at 1:30 pm. In the following betting tip forecast it is important to clarify how the odds behave to the match and who could go out of place as the winner.
(Stand der Quoten: 16.07.2021, 15:21 Uhr)
The Brazilian U23 last played very strong and was therefore quite convincing. In group B of the Olympic qualification, four victories were won against the competition from Uruguay, Bolivia, Paraguay and Peru. In the final stage, however, the team was not always able to convince and only achieved one victory in the three encounters with Argentina, Uruguay and Colombia. This jumped out of Argentina on the last day of the match after a 3-0 victory over the leader. Previously, the points were shared with Uruguay and Colombia. The ticket for the final round of the Olympic Games was won as a group runner-up.
This takes the team of coach Andre Jardine very seriously. The Selecao was not necessarily on the side of fate. With Germany, the Ivory Coast and also Saudi Arabia, the competition is by no means to be underestimated. It promises to be a hot dance. In particular, the start against the DFB selection will not be easy. However, a look at the odds reveals the Sugarloaf kicker as a clear favourite for the group victory.
The most recent test matches were all won. Some very clear victories came against the United Emirates (5-2), Serbia (3-0) and the Republic of Korea (3-1). After the group match against Germany, it is time to compete against Ivory Coast and Saudi Arabia.

The German national team under coach Stefan Kuntz did not have to qualify for the Olympics. The team has automatically qualified through the semi-final draw of the U21 at EURO 2021. In the end, the team prevailed against Portugal in the final game and thus also won the title. It remains to be seen to what extent the U23 can now build on this performance. After the weak performances in the EURO, Olympia would be a very good opportunity to rehabilitate.
However, the road to Olympia is not a good sign. The squad was the only disgrace to be judged. Five years after the great Olympic final against Brazil, U-21 coach Stefan Kuntz found it hard to put together 22 men for the trip to Olympia. Only 18 players, including three goalkeepers, could be found. This alone shows the importance of the Olympic tournament. Other nations, such as Spain, showed six European Championships participants in the 22-strong Olympic squad. In Germany, absolutely no indication.
Since the team did not deny any qualification, there is no data on past appointments. The respective players are not matched. It remains to be seen how coach Stefan Kuntz will adjust his team to the first really thick chunks from Brazil. With the current setting, however, it is likely to be difficult to make a difference at Olympia.
Recent Matches from Germany
Germany: 3 victories – 1 draw – 1 defeat
1 victory Brazil – 0 draws – 0 victories Germany
The German squad alone raises questions. However, Kuntz hadn’t had a lot of opportunities, simply because more players were not removed or participated. The odds for a direct match bring Brazil to the fore as a favourite. The German national team competes at best with a B-staff. It remains to be seen whether this can make a difference in the tournament. However, the first match against Brazil will be anything but easy. In the course of our betting tip prognosis is to be expected with a narrow victory of the sugar loaf kicker.
