Bochum vs. Mainz Tipp & Quoten, 21.08.2021 – 15:30 o’clock
The VfL Bochum welcomes on Saturday afternoon, the 21.08.2021 at 15:30 o’clock, in the home Vonovia-Ruhrstadion Mainz 05 on the 2nd matchday of the Bundesliga. The climber had an unfortunate start at the VFL Wolfsburg last week and narrowly lost after an early red card. The Rheinhessen had to cope with 14 failures (Corona) against RB Leipzig and beat the runner-up deservedly despite the circumstances.

The club in the heart of the Ruhrpotts had a bad start to the new Bundesliga season. Baku barely hit the lower edge of the lath (1st) on the course. A little later Robert Tesche took a hand in the penalty area and flew down with red (4th). However, VFL scorer Weghorst missed the penalty due (5th). In excess the wolves increased the pressure and then deservedly went through Weghorst with 1:0 in front (22.). With increasing playing time, the Lower Saxony were still dominant, but no opportunities were created to expand the lead. The climber remained safe except for a few needle stitches to the front. In the second 45 minutes Weghorst lost the huge chance to score 2-0 – VFL goalkeeper Riemann held on sensationally (46th).
Thomas Reis’ team was still under pressure in shorthanded situations. But the VFL also left the next opportunities unused – Weghorst (55th) and Schlager (60th). The second goal of the Wolfsburgs was in the air, but did not fall, also because Weghorst failed again at Riemann (75th). The weak exploitation of the wolves’ chances almost avenged itself, but Bochum did not take advantage of Pantovic’s big opportunity to equalize (77th). It remained 1-0 for Wolfsburg.
After a narrow cup victory at the Wuppertaler SV (2:1 a.V.) and the defeat in Wolfsburg, the Reis-Elf came only moderately into the new season. Only one of the last six second-liga players lost Bochum and took four victories in this period. The last four home appearances have been won by the promoter and are now aiming for the fifth home threes in a row, in order not to start with zero points after two matchdays.
Robert Tesche (Rotsperre) will have to suspend for the HOME debut of VFL Bochum. The Ruhrpottclub does not have to complain about injured players.

The team of Bo Svensson had to compete against Leipzig at home in a very weak substitute and survived the first opportunity of Nkunku in the initial phase (9th). After that, the FSV deserved the 1:0 lead through Niakhate (13th). The zero-fives held against it with a lot of effort and strength of duel. Young pound and home-grown Tauer also prevented Nkunku from equalising after just under half an hour (29th). The home team only had to fear a header from Orban until the break (43rd).
In the second period, the zero-fives missed the 2:0 (50th) – Gulacsi parried heavily. On the other side was also Mainz-Schlussmann Zentner against Simkan (58th). The largely unimaginative cops were then lucky that Mainz did not score 2-0 and made the preliminary decision – Burkhardt and Niakhate missed (79.). In the final phase, the Leipzig team scored again, but Orban (86th, 90th +4th) and Silva (90th +3rd) narrowly failed. The Rhinelanders celebrated a passionate and deserved threesome against the favourite.
The Svensson-Elf won the DFB Cup game after a penalty shootout at the SV Elversberg and then surprised the league with a 1-0 victory over RB Leipzig. Over the course of the season, there was only one defeat for the nil-five from the past 12 league games (7 wins, four draws). The FSV even remained undefeated eight times in a row and celebrated five victories in this period.
Anton Stach (Redlock) will certainly fail. The 14 player drop-outs due to coronavirus infections are unlikely to occur on the next matchday, because the quarantine is over by then.

We expect a Bundesliga match between VFL Bochum and VFL Wolfsburg on an equal footing. The zero-five celebrated a successful start with the threesome against RB Leipzig and have been undefeated for 12 league games across the seasons. Even the last eight away games were not lost by the Rheinhessen and were won five times during this time. The promoter lost unfortunately but also deservedly at the VFL Wolfsburg and now hopes to score the first three points of the season in front of his own fans. The last home appearances in the 2nd league were decent with four victories in a row.
We guess that the Svensson TEAM is still too ripped off for the VFL and takes the three points home. Linked to this we recommend for this Bundesliga tip prediction the 3-way betting on Mainz 05 wins the away game in the Bundesliga. For this betting tip, betting odds are in the range around 2.60 to 2.70.
