The Bosphorus side are clearly very happy with the services of coach Okan Buruk. The coach’s contract has only just been extended. But there are also few sporting reasons not to. After eleven match days, Gala lead the standings with 31 points and have one point more than Fener. All other teams are already ten points or more behind. So Okan Buruk is not resting on his laurels in the Süperliga, but his goals in the top flight are still high

The coach believes that they can beat any opponent. There has only been one defeat in the last 19 games, and that was against Bayern of all teams. Other than that, things are going exceptionally well. However, you have to differentiate between domestic and international challenges. The Turkish champions won their dress rehearsal at home last Friday. They beat Kasimpasa 2:1 in the small derby. Wilfred Zaha turned out to be the match-winner.
