Bilbao finally want to win again
For Bilbao, the last few rounds have been somewhat lukewarm. The men from the Basque country have undoubtedly not achieved the best results recently, will that change now against the seventeenth in the table?
Especially in front of a home crowd, the chances of success should actually be quite good, but coach Marcelino is struggling with the offensive weakness of his boys, as goals are scored very few.
The relegation candidates from Andalusia, on the other hand, have recently suffered two defeats in a row, but basically they have presented themselves as quite beatable since October. In any case, the underdogs are not easy prey for the favoured home team, which is why we consider the bookmakers’ odds on Athletic Bilbao vs. Granada to be somewhat disproportionate.
In our opinion, a favourite tip is in any case the worst of all variants, because the potential profits are infinitesimally small here. In our opinion, a close match with rather few goals is to be expected.
Athletic Bilbao – Statistics & current form
Although the “red and white” suffered only two defeats in the current season, things could still be a little better, because especially in recent weeks, the Basques showed little.
They have now waited two games for a goal and have not won in four games. From our point of view, Athletic Bilbao’s forecast against Granada is therefore for a close game.
Offensive only a lukewarm breeze
In 13 league games so far, more than one goal has actually been scored only twice. More than two goals have never been scored at all this season. The situation is hardly any better in home games either, more than an average of one goal per home game is simply not possible at the moment.
What’s more, in the last home game they even lost to outsiders Cadiz. The game on Friday is therefore far from over. Given the three draws in the last four games, we think it is quite possible that the points will be shared again.
Hoping for home advantage
The Basques have won half of their games at home so far. In the past four home games, however, they have only conceded once, so it is not at all unlikely that they will once again strike behind national keeper Simon.
The bottom line is that, in our opinion, betting on the home team in Athletic Bilbao vs. Granada is not a good idea, especially because of the low odds. Moreover, it is not at all unlikely that the home side will remain winless for the fifth time in a row. But at least they could score their first goal in November.

Granada – Statistics & current form
For Granada, the main concern is to avoid relegation. The Andalusians are in 17th place after 13 games, level on points with 18th in the table, who have already been relegated.
Points are therefore urgently needed. The next few weeks offer a promising programme of games in this respect, as many relatively easy opponents await. Already in the duel Athletic Bilbao vs. Granada, a bet on a point win for the visitors is not so far-fetched. We explain why.
Since October with good results
In the past six league games, they have only suffered two defeats. Wins and draws have been achieved just as often. Even local rivals Sevilla have already been defeated and FC Barcelona have also picked up a point away from home.
In addition, the Andalusians have only failed to score once in the last six games. In total, they have scored more goals than the home side. They have only conceded more than one goal on foreign soil twice.
Away not without a chance
Furthermore, the fourth-last in the table must be described as an unpleasant guest, as only three of the seven away games so far have been lost. That is relatively few, considering that we are talking about a latecomer in the table.
We expect CF to be able to keep their own box reasonably tight against the home side, who have been rather unthreatening offensively lately, and thus have a good chance of getting a point.
Predicted line-up of Granada:
Luis Maximiano – Quinn, Diaz, Sanchez – Neves – Suarez, Gonalons, Montoro, Puertas – Rochina, Soro

11/21 2021 – Granada 1 – 4 Real Madridn

Athletic Bilbao – Granada Direct comparison / H2H balance
These two teams have faced each other 52 times so far. Bilbao are clearly ahead with 27 wins, while Granada have 14 victories. The home team has tended to have the advantage in recent head-to-head clashes, with the away team’s last win dating back to 2016. Granada have scored at least one goal in three of their last four away games.
Athletic Bilbao – Granada Tip
If you believe the betting odds on Athletic Bilbao vs Granada, then the home side are the clear favourites. However, they have only picked up a few wins recently and the Basques are only scoring goals sporadically at the moment. With the visitors performing well time and time again, this could be a close game.
From our point of view, a bet on the double chance X2 is certainly worth the money given the outstanding odds. Likewise, in the three-way tip X is not a bad option. Furthermore, we expect a low-scoring match, so bets such as “Under 2.5” are also obvious.
The bottom line is that we do not call the matter decided in advance. The guests are always unpleasant, especially away from home.
