The schedule for the second division has been finalized in Mantua. The first day’s fixtures are completed by Palermo-Reggiana, Monza-Mantova, Spezia-Carrarese, Catanzaro-Sudtirol, Empoli-Padova, Frosinone-Avellino, Pescara-Cesena and Entella-Juve Stabia
Palermo will host Reggiana, while Spezia will do the same with Carrarese. Meanwhile, Monza will welcome Mantova, and Venezia will face Bari at home. Completing the first day of Serie B, after the schedule was finalized in Mantua, will be Catanzaro-Sudtirol, Empoli-Padova, Frosinone-Avellino, Pescara-Cesena, Sampdoria-Modena, and Entella-Juve Stabia.
On paper, Reggiana and Bari have the most difficult start. After Palermo, the Emilian side will face Empoli at home, then travel to Castellammare di Stabia, host Catanzaro, and travel to Bolzano. Bari’s start is even more complicated. After the match in the Lagoon, they will host Monza, who were just relegated with Empoli and Venezia, then travel to Modena before going to Palermo and hosting Sampdoria.
big matches— Spezia-Palermo, the clash between the teams that have theoretically done best in the transfer market in putting together promotion-winning squads, will be played in Liguria in early October (round 8).
