Will the Knights stay in the race for the playoffs?
The Vegas Golden Knights are currently regulars on our programme, after all they are fighting the toughest battle for the post-season spots. Almost daily, they alternate with the Dallas Stars as to who gets to hold the ominous eighth spot.
The problem for the Knights is that they have already played two games more and are thus theoretically well behind. So they can hardly afford any more defeats and games like the one against the Coyotes come just at the right time.
In this matchup there can be no other favourite than the Knights. They have won seven of their last ten games, while the Coyotes have lost eight of theirs. In addition, Arizona is the weakest team in the league with only 49 points scored.
For Golden Knights vs. Coyotes, our prediction is therefore a clear Vegas win, where they should also hold the Coyotes to under two goals. In their last seven games, Arizona actually scored more than one goal only twice.
Vegas Golden Knights – Statistics & current form
It’s getting tighter and tighter for Vegas and one of the things to blame is their unexpected loss to the Vancouver Canucks. Fortunately for them, they can now make up for it at home, as the Coyotes, the worst team in the NHL, are coming to the players’ metropolis.
They can’t afford anything, though, because another defeat against a weaker team could already end all play-off hopes. But we don’t expect a slip-up either.
Vegas with clear rise in form lately
While this one loss to the Canucks obviously hurt, the Knights are considered one of the most in-form teams overall. They have won seven of their last ten games, five of them in a row until Vancouver came along.
They are also ahead of their upcoming opponents from Arizona in all important statistics. They score more goals (3.11 to 2.49), they concede less (2.97 to 3.59), they have the better powerplay (18.1% to 13.9%) and the better penalty killing (78.0% to 72.7%).
Knights are under pressure
Even in face-offs they are ahead with 49,1 % to 47,6 % and that although this is not really one of their strengths. In this respect, anything other than a clear Knights victory would be a surprise or, to put it even more clearly: a small sensation.
For Vegas vs. Arizona, the odds are accordingly low on a pure win, which is why we have to work with a handicap here. A handicap of -1.5 can easily be bet in order to bring the value to acceptable odds.

Arizona Coyotes – Statistics & current form
The Coyotes were one of the first teams to safely miss the playoffs this season, so they have the longest time to prepare for the new season already. It also seems as if they are already doing so.
For especially in the last few weeks there is not much to be seen of a competitive team. In five of their last seven matches, they scored just one goal or less. And in some cases not even against the best teams in the league.
Coyotes the weakest team of the season
Of course there are some injury problems playing into it, but when we look at their squad it looks rather worrying for the future as well. Only Clayton Keller is a positive promise for the future here – but he is currently injured.
His injury from the game against the Sharks even looked so bad that it is to be feared that he will also miss parts of the coming season. It definitely hurt the morale within the team a lot and they have only been able to win one game since then.
Hardly any hope of wins
With the loss of their absolute top scorer, an already weak team has become even weaker and so is unlikely to pick up many more wins for the rest of the season. Especially not against teams that still have something at stake.
Therefore, for Knights against Coyotes, a tip against Arizona is more than recommended. This one should also be by at least a two-goal difference, more likely. They have lost three of their last four games by at least a four goal differential.

Vegas Golden Knights – Arizona Coyotes Head-to-head comparison / H2H record
Since the Vegas Golden Knights joined the NHL for the 2017/18 season, the Coyotes have been one of the teams they have faced most often. Their record is 15-7 since then, but the last meeting so far went to Arizona in February.
Still, that should be no reason to doubt the Knights, as the last five meetings have also all taken place in Phoenix. The last six duels in Vegas all went to the Golden Knights, four of them with at least a two-goal difference.
Thus, the odds on the home team for Vegas against Arizona are clearly bettable even with a handicap of -1.5. Even a handicap of -2 is still a possibility, as the Coyotes are currently losing very often by more than a two-goal difference.
Vegas Golden Knights – Arizona Coyotes Tip
All in for Gold. By that, of course, we don’t mean a new field at the roulette table, but that everything actually speaks in favour of Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday. They are not behind Arizona in any of the statistics, so the signs should already be clear.
For Golden Knights vs. Coyotes, a bet on Vegas is our crystal clear betting recommendation, best combined with sub-points to bring the value to a reasonable level. Even bets with a handicap of -1.5 up to -2 are still good bets to make.
Alternatively, however, bets can also be placed against the Coyotes. It is doubtful that they will score more than 2.5 goals. They have failed to do so in five of their last seven games and are unlikely to do so against the hot Knights either.
