Does Bonn once again ensure a clear balance of power?
The Telekom Baskets Bonn have evened up the final series in the 2023 BBL Playoffs. In the second home game of the current BO5 series, Bonn beat ratiopharm Ulm with an impressive 104:75 and thus ensured a clear balance of power. If the Rhinelanders take the momentum with them, it is obvious that Bonn will move to 2:1 in the series.
On Wednesday evening, the best team in the main round is the guest in Ulm. Although the Swabians benefit from the home advantage, the bookmakers see the guests as favourites. For an Ulm vs. Bonn bet on the Telekom Baskets, betting odds of only 1.75 are currently offered.
If you take a look at the most recent H2H, a prediction on the visitors in Ulm vs. Bonn has some value. The Telekom Baskets have won five of the last six meetings against Ratiopharm Ulm since May 2021. Twice Bonn broke the 100-point mark in this period – including the most recent landslide victory.

After the 79-73 victory away from home, a clear defeat followed in Bonn in the second match of the finals series. Head coach Gavel’s team lost the second match with the Rhinelanders by a total of 29 points.
Wednesday night is the first home game of the current finals series. Ulm is aiming for its first home win against Bonn since January 2021. In the last two home games, including this year’s BBL duel in Ulm, there were two defeats in a row for the Swabians.
In their last competitive game in front of a home crowd, the home side even conceded 101 points against Bonn. If you still want to bet on the Swabians in Ulm vs. Bonn, you can more than double your stake if Ratiopharm Ulm is successful. Bets on this have – at least in our opinion – no value.
Was the victory of Ulm only a snapshot?

After all, Ulm was already behind by 16 points after two quarters and did not find its way back into the winning lane afterwards.
The best scorer on the Swabian side this time was Jallow with a total of 17 points. Matheus Yago, the big performer for the Ulm team, fell short of the high expectations in the second match of the final series with only nine points.

The Rhinelanders not only cracked the 100-point mark, but also celebrated an impressive 104:75 victory against.
In the third game of the best-of-five, Bonn is now the guest of Ulm. If the best team in the main round wins the upcoming match, there will already be a chance for the championship on Friday evening. It would be a premiere for the Telekom Baskets Bonn. So far, the best result for the Rhinelanders has been the runner-up spot in the BBL, which they have already won a total of three times.
As in Sunday’s match in front of a home crowd, the Telekom Baskets are also favoured in the third match away from home. For an Ulm vs. Bonn bet on the Rhinelanders, odds of up to 1.75 are currently offered.
Does Bonn flex their muscles on the offensive?
If the team of head coach Thomas Iisalo continues the strong performance in the second match, it is obvious that a prediction on Bonn will pay off this time as well. Especially the offense of the Telekom Baskets was almost unstoppable in the last final match – although TJ Shorts “only” scored 16 points, mind you.
The star player of the Rhinelanders caused a sensation with nine assists and directed the game of Bonn. Only in the last quarter was TJ Shorts spared. In Ulm, it is obvious that the North Macedonian with American roots is used over four quarters. A clear result, like in the second final game, is rather out of the question this time.
Since January 2023, the Telekom Baskets have won each of their last 16 games away from home. Among other things, Bonn also prevailed in this period in the BBL match against Ratiopharm Ulm with a 101:92 in the regular season.

Ulm and Bonn meet for the 43rd time overall. Telekom Baskets Bonn lead the direct comparison against Ratiopharm Ulm with a record of 24-19. The two clubs have already met four times this season. Bonn has won three of these four encounters. Once, however, Ulm prevailed against the Telekom Baskets.
