Warner Bros Discovery is offering comprehensive coverage on Eurosport channels, with a dedicated schedule for all 116 medal events. Among the talent featured are Carolina Kostner and Kristian Ghedina.

More than 1,000 hours of live coverage, 865 hours of competitions (full coverage), plus specials and in-depth analysis, with studios in Milan, Cortina, and Livigno. This, in a nutshell, is what Warner Bros Discovery, the official broadcaster, is offering for Milan Cortina 2026. Everything that happens, in every single discipline and at every single moment, will be broadcast in real time on HBO Max and discovery+ under the Eurosport brand. With the help of a team of around 100 talents, including Tina Maze, Carolina Kostner, Kristian Ghedina, Francesca Marsaglia, Fulvio Valbusa, and Elisa Nakab, among others, in the Italian version (around 40).

“Our Olympic journey,” recalls Alessandro Araimo, CEO of Warner Bros Discovery Southern Europe, during the official launch of the programming in Milan, “began in PyeongChang in 2018. It is based on a model that, edition after edition, has focused on the completeness of the offering and the quality of the storytelling. We will always be ‘where it happens’.& nbsp; And our coverage will offer an extraordinary image of Italy: from the stadiums to the natural scenery.”

The programming—  Eurosport 1 will have a dedicated schedule and, together with Eurosport 2, will broadcast all 116 medal events live in their entirety. Then, among the rest, there will be three fixed live events. “Mountain Zone” at 12 noon from Cortina; “Half-time” at 6 p.m. from Livigno; “Notte Bianca” at 11 p.m. from Casa Italia at the Triennale in Milan. The channels will be available via TimVision Play and Dazn for Eurosport and Prime Video for HBO Max. The ambassadors for the latter are Alberto Tomba and Jasmine Paolini.

The doping case—  “CONI,” comments president Luciano Buonfiglio, “is delighted with this partnership: the important thing is not just to do it, but to do it well. And with Warner Bros, from this point of view, we’re in good hands. Athletes, staff, and federations have worked very well. We’re playing at home: there will be more pressure, but we’re ready, I can guarantee it. The doping case involving biathlete Passler? We know the athlete, her family, the Carabinieri, and her club: it seems strange to us. I am confident that it may be a mistake. We’ll see.“
The talent—  Extensive digital coverage is also planned, of course, as well as extra content programming, with an original docuseries. ”As an athlete,“ emphasizes Tina Maze, gold medalist in giant slalom and downhill at Sochi 2014, ”I had my afternoons free. Now I work all day, but I learn a lot and I’m happy with this experience. Vonn? As a fantastic communicator, she’s putting on a bit of a show, but we know that fortunately she has nothing serious…‘. ‘I try to show what’s behind the performances,’ adds Francesca Marsaglia, who will be competing for Italy until 2022, ‘and, living in the world of journalism, I always discover new things. In recent months, I have been following Federica Brignone’s recovery closely, day after day. What she is doing is incredible, whatever result she achieves.“ ”Thank you for involving me in this wonderful team,“ says Kristian Ghedina, thirteen World Cup victories and five Olympic appearances. ”I’m a good talker, but here I’ll have to be concise and to the point. Franzoni? I like him, he seems to have his feet on the ground. Today’s Italian men’s speed team is as strong as it was in my day.” There’s also a treat in store for the opening ceremony: among the commentators will be Davide Livermore, director of the National Theater of Genoa and long-time collaborator of La Scala in Milan, who enthusiastically confirms the presence of mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli.
