Will the Niners send Dallas into a full crisis?

Traditionsduell here we go – and with the game that was the ultimate in the NFL in the 90s. Nowadays it is more of a non than an ultra. It’s about our 49ers vs. Cowboys tip for the upcoming Sunday Night Game, which can almost be described as a crisis duel.

Neither team currently has a positive record and both are under 50% likely to make the playoffs. So it could be an uncomfortable time for the loser afterwards. This makes the old-school duel in the NFC all the more important. With just under two weeks to go before the US presidential elections, the USA will get to see a very explosive duel.

One reason why both teams are currently struggling so much is, of course, the injury situation on both sides. San Francisco is missing McCaffrey, Hargrave, Hufanga, Samuel and Aiyuk, among others; the Cowboys are missing Parsons, Lawrence, Kneeland, Cooks and Bland.

It could be another rather unbalanced game that should end with the better defense winning: and that’s San Francisco. So our prediction for the 49ers v Cowboys game is a home win for the Niners, which would put them on at least a 4-4 record.

Kick-off of this exciting NFC matchup is at 2:15 a.m. PT on Sunday night in Santa Clara, California. The game can be watched live on DAZN.

San Francisco 49ers – Statistics & current form

After the first game of the season against the Jets, almost all experts agreed: here we saw the top favorites in the NFC. Only six weeks later, the tide has completely turned and just one more loss on Sunday and the Niners would be in serious trouble.

Because the program is not going to get much easier. The Bucs, Seahawks, Packers and Bills are their next four opponents, and these games are anything but already won either. So the Cowboys have to be beaten.

That, however, is also very possible, because if there is currently a team in the NFC that is lagging further behind expectations, then it is the Cowboys. They have not been able to get a foot on the ground, neither offensively nor defensively.

As a result, San Francisco is also clearly ahead in most of the important statistics. They are averaging 67.8 more yards and scoring 4.7 more points per game, while conceding 5.4 fewer points and have an +8 better turnover ratio. These are small worlds in every single area that they are ahead of Dallas.

Their only advantage for Sunday is actually that they just come from a bye week and Micah Parsons could come back on the field. However, he alone will not be able to stop the Cowboys’ downfall.

Since the Niners have always enjoyed playing against Dallas in the last three years, they also have this positive feeling with them. All of this makes the odds of a Niners victory significantly more manageable for 49ers against Cowboys.

These outright bets don’t add up to the highest value, but in combination with over-points or over 2.5 field goals, they should be a safe bet. After all, Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey already scores 2.5 field goals in most games.

Key Players:

  • QB: Brock Purdy
  • RB: Jordan Mason
  • WR: Deebo Samuel
  • TE: George Kittle
  • K: Anders Carlson

Dallas Cowboys – Statistics & current form

Quo Vadis Cowboys? We wrote this before the season and this question is becoming more and more relevant. Because at the moment it seems that this season will be a wasted season.

The playoffs are almost out of reach – especially if they lose on Sunday. And there is no improvement in sight. Only the possible return of star pass rusher Micah Parsons could give them a little hope.

Running game practically non-existent

But the problems are pressing in completely different areas. Offensively, they have absolutely no running game this season. With 77.2 rushing yards per game, they are far behind in last place in the NFL, and without a running game, they simply lack a plan B.

Then the whole offensive burden falls on the shoulders of Dak Prescott, and he can’t carry it game after game. Especially not without a second strong receiver after CeeDee Lamb. Another problem on the Cowboys campus.

While many other teams are adding a strong wide receiver (Chiefs, Jets, Bills), the Cowboys are keeping their feet still. Owner Jerry Jones is thus repeating the mistakes of the off-season with pinpoint accuracy. Many Cowboys fans currently see him only as a stubborn old man who is ruining the franchise.

Tips on Cowboys to be avoided at all costs

That it will be better now after the bye week? Hard to imagine. Because head coach Mike McCarthy is also one of the five worst in his profession – at least he is repeatedly voted into this bottom 5 in the NFL. There is simply nothing in favor of Dallas on Sunday.

That makes a tip on the 49ers the clear better option for San Francisco vs. Dallas. In addition to combo bets, a tip on halftime/final score 49ers/49ers is also an option here, because the Niners have led at halftime in five of their seven previous games. The Cowboys, on the other hand, were often late starters.

Key Players:

  • QB: Dak Prescott
  • RB: Ezekiel Elliott
  • WR: CeeDeeLamb
  • TE: Jake Ferguson
  • K: Brandon Aubrey

San Francisco 49ers – Dallas Cowboys Direct comparison / H2H record

We have already mentioned that the last three duels all went to the 49ers. Two of them were incredibly important playoff games in which the Cowboys showed their typical playoff face. However, they also lost the last regular season clash by a clear margin.

42:10 went to San Francisco and such a blowout success is not out of the question for Sunday night either. However, the 49ers have also looked too bad for that lately. One more reason why we prefer combo tips to handicap bets.

The Niners are considered favorites by an average of 4.5 to 5.5 points. This winning margin is not impossible, but for us, the betting odds for a win by the Niners against the Cowboys, with the 49ers + over 2.5 field goals, are even a bit more playable.

San Francisco 49ers – Dallas Cowboys betting tip

There are numerous betting options in this duel, but all of them include a 49ers win. We don’t doubt that for a second in this matchup. We won’t believe that the Cowboys can really turn things around until we see the first signs of it.

However, this is not yet the case, as no player other than kicker Brandon Aubrey is reliably scoring. That makes our top betting tip for the 49ers vs. Cowboys a prediction of a win for San Francisco + over 2.5 field goals.

Alternatively, as always, a player bet is also an option: on a TD from George Kittle. With all the injuries, he is the last remaining real superstar in the Niners’ receiving corps, which should also make him the No. 1 target for Brock Purdy on Sunday.
