After the first game of the season against the Jets, almost all experts agreed: here we saw the top favorites in the NFC. Only six weeks later, the tide has completely turned and just one more loss on Sunday and the Niners would be in serious trouble.
Because the program is not going to get much easier. The Bucs, Seahawks, Packers and Bills are their next four opponents, and these games are anything but already won either. So the Cowboys have to be beaten.
That, however, is also very possible, because if there is currently a team in the NFC that is lagging further behind expectations, then it is the Cowboys. They have not been able to get a foot on the ground, neither offensively nor defensively.
As a result, San Francisco is also clearly ahead in most of the important statistics.
