Ends the Hornets’ away curse in Portland?

The Portland Trail Blazers host the Charlotte Hornets next night. The home side have been without a win for six home games and have the longest home winless streak in the Western Conference. For the game between Portland and Charlotte, you can read an NBA betting tip and its odds in the following article

Portland Trail Blazers – Statistics & current form

The Trail Blazers are stuck in a deep form crisis. They have lost seven league games and won only one of their last eleven. Although they are missing an important player in C.J. McCollum, who is particularly good at hitting from downtown, this alone does not explain the drop.

Rather, the chemistry in coach Chauncey Billups’ team no longer seems to be right. Superstar Damian Lillard is repeatedly involved in rumours about a departure and this media unrest obviously affects Portland’s performance.

Things are not going well on home turf either, with six of their seven losses at the Moda Center coming in their last six home games!

Charlotte Hornets – Statistics & current form

The Hornets travel to San Antonio with a win in their most recent outing. With a win percentage of around 50 percent, Charlotte is completing an average season so far. The team’s showpiece, however, is its offence: only Atlanta and Utah rank ahead of coach James Borrego’s squad in the NBA’s offensive rating.

LaMelo Ball and Terrier Rozier in particular are convincing forwards. The former point guard, however, was recently ineligible to play due to the NBA’s Covid19 protocol, but now the reigning Rookie of the Year looks set to return to the squad. During his absence, however, Rozier acted as a reliable backup on the offensive end anyway.

The 27-year-old scored more than 30 points in two of the last five games! Currently, the shooting guard also has an average scoring value of almost 17.6 points. This puts Rozier just under six points above his career high.

Portland Trail Blazers – Charlotte Hornets Tip

For the game of the Portland Trail Blazers against the Charlotte Hornets on 18 December, the tip aims for an away win. The visitors have a well-functioning offense and can hope for a return of the strong Sophomore LaMelo Ball.

The home side, on the other hand, have not been convincing lately: only one win from the past eleven games clearly shows this. In addition, two important players, CJ McCollum and Cody Zeller, are unavailable due to injuries.

The long drought in the visiting games at the Moda Center will provide additional motivation for the visitors. The North Carolina basketball team is desperate to end this 13-year winless streak.

Betway offers betting odds of 2.05 on the duel between Portland and Charlotte.
