First defensive festival in Philly?

The Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat will face each other on 03/22/2022. The duel already went over about two weeks ago and the home side conceded a bitter defeat with a 17 point gap in Florida.

The hosts also lost their only home game against Spoelstra’s squad so far last December. At least they managed a win at the Heat in between, which is why their record so far this season is 1-2 from the 76ers’ point of view.

Philadelphia 76ers – Statistics & current form

The 76ers lost the last bout, but in that game they were also missing an important player in James Harden, who was given a regeneration break at the time. Now “The Beard” is back on board, which is why the hosts can be considered more powerful.

Head Coach Doc Rivers, however, already had to compete with his team last night. Against the Raptors from Toronto, an 88:93 defeat was recorded. The result makes clear that against the Canadians it was especially in the game forward hooked.

Miami Heat – Statistics & current form

Miami is worried about the deployment of Jimmy Butler. The small forward was missing last time against Oklahoma and whether it is enough for a use against the Sixers, is currently not yet determined.

Together with Tyler Herro, “Jimmy Bucket” is the best scorer on the visitors’ side, which is why his absence would represent a decisive weakening for Head Coach Erik Spoelstra’s team.

The best home team in the East has also recently improved on the road: The franchise from the Sunshine State has won seven of its last eight guest games – including at top teams such as the champions from Milwaukee or the Nets from Brooklyn.

Philadelphia 76ers – Miami Heat Tip

The three duels so far this season have been characterized by strong defensive performances on both sides. Thus, a maximum of 207 points were scored and the last clash last season joins the drawn picture with no more than 200 points.

For the top game in the East between the third Philadelphia 76ers and first Miami Heat, the tip is therefore aimed at less than 216.5 points (game time without overtime). Both teams rank among the top ten in the NBA’s defensive rating, which is why a comparatively low score at the end of the game can be expected once again.

Furthermore, the home side will have to play a back-to-back, which means that there will be no offensive fireworks, at least not on the Sixers’ side.
