Are the Dubs the team of the hour?

It is currently not really magical what the Orlando Magic are offering on the pitch. Whether that will change in our Magic vs. Warriors tip for Thursday night is also questionable. Golden State is currently one of the hottest teams in the entire league.

They secured the services of Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline, who fits perfectly into Golden State’s philosophy – better than Dennis Schröder, who played there before. His scoring and iso game harmonizes almost perfectly with Steph Curry.

So won the Dubs have now won four games in a row, and three in a row by more than 20 points. So it’s no surprise that they are also considered the favorites for our Orlando vs. Golden State tip.

So for us, too, the prediction for Magic vs. Warriors is a victory for the away team from California. This could even be a few points more significant than the set 1.5 points in the handicap. We also expect Jimmy Butler to have a strong scoring evening again.

Orlando Magic – Statistics & current form

The Magic are stumbling, and in this form it comes as a bit of a surprise. They lost to the Cavaliers on Tuesday by 40 points, even though all of their top players are back except for Jalen Suggs and Moritz Wagner.

With exactly this squad, they got off to an excellent start to the season, beating the Lakers, Pistons, Suns and even the Celtics. But for a few weeks now, there has been something missing, especially on offense.

Offensively Harmless

Orlando scores just 103.9 points on average, which is the weakest value of all teams – and by a long way. Among all teams in playoff positions, it is by far the worst value. The next weakest Heat are a full 5.8 points ahead.

So it will be difficult to turn things around in the coming weeks. But they are still in a promising position in the race for 7th place in the East. They have their top 3 defense to thank for this, which in turn only allows 108.7 points per game.

Under-points always an option

This is also how the fewest total points in the NBA are scored in Magic games. This means that the odds on under 213.5 total points for Magic vs. Warriors are again playable on Thursday – despite the Warriors’ current strong form.

They have also worked their way up to a top defense in recent weeks, which in our opinion also makes them the favorites in this matchup. So our prediction for Orlando vs. Golden State is a win for the Dubs, which could be by more than five or six points.

Key Players:

  • PG: Cole Anthony
  • SG: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
  • SF: Paolo Banchero
  • PF: Franz Wagner
  • C: Goga Bitadse

Golden State Warriors – Statistics & current form

The Warriors are one of the winners of the trade deadline. Before that, they were a rather unbalanced team, with far too much of the load falling on the shoulders of Steph Curry, but that has changed significantly with the arrival of Jimmy Butler.

His 17.0 points per game this season are helping the Dubs to spread the load much better. Buddy Hield has also been playing a bit more freely since Butler’s arrival, as some of the pressure has been taken off him as well. So it’s a win-win-win situation.

Tips on Warriors and Butler possible

Speaking of Butler: If we exclude his slightly weaker performance against the Hornets (where, however, he was not challenged either), then he is in excellent form. In the six games before that, he always scored at least 17 points, three times even at least 20.

With Magic vs. Dubs, the betting odds on Over 18.5 Butler points are also a recommended betting option. In addition to the slightly more playable tips on the Warriors. Since they are only slight favorites, outright win bets on them are also an option.

Warriors + Under Points as a Combination Tip

An exciting combination arises when we combine the expected Warriors success with under-points. The Dubs only allowed 100.0 points on average in their last four games. The Magic also only scored 102.5 points in this span.

The projected 213.5 total points are therefore already a high number that we do not expect for this matchup. We even see less than 105 points as likely for the Magic – another betting option that is easy to play.

Key Players:

  • PG: Steph Curry
  • SG: Brandon Podziemski
  • SF: Jimmy Butler
  • PF: Moses Moody
  • C: Draymond Green

Orlando Magic – Golden State Warriors direct comparison / H2H record

This season, there has already been one game between these two. The Warriors won that game in January, beating Orlando 104-99. It is not unlikely that the same result will be seen on Thursday, both in terms of the winning margin and the total points scored.

In the previous season, both duels went to Golden State, which means that they have not lost a game against Orlando in over two years. Another point that slightly favors the away team on Thursday.

All in all, we can hardly find any points that might make Orlando fans feel positive. Therefore, for Magic vs. Warriors, the odds on Golden State -1.5 are our clear betting recommendation. It would take an over-performance by Franz Wagner or Paolo Banchero to keep the Magic in striking distance here.

Orlando Magic vs. Golden State Warriors tip

The Magic are on the decline, the Warriors are clearly on the rise. This is often the mix that leads to clear victories. However, the handicap set by the bookmakers does not say that at all.

Good for us, because for Orlando vs. Golden State, an bet on the Warriors -1.5 still yields really good odds. We would even recommend handicap tips of up to -4.5 or -5.5 here without any qualms.

As an alternative, we had already recommended point bets on Jimmy Butler. However, Buddy Hield is also currently scoring well and is an option for a points bet. It makes most sense in combination with a victory bet on Golden State.
