Ends the Hawks’ winning streak at OKC?

Oklahoma City Thunder and Atlanta Hawks face off on 03/31/2022. The home side have lost their past two duels with “Hotlanta”.

Oklahoma City Thunder – Statistics & current form

There has been little to cheer about in Oklahoma this season as the second-to-last team in the Western Conference standings – but one exception is Josh Giddey.

The shooting guard has been named the West’s Rookie of the Month in every month of the season so far and is delivering a great first season in the NBA. Currently, however, the flexible two-way player is unavailable due to injury.

This also applies to the team’s top scorer in the person of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Head coach Mark Daigneault’s team can take heart from their home record against the Hawks in the recent past.

The last five games in front of their own backdrop against the upcoming opponents were all won!

On the other hand, their home record this season is disastrous: No team in the Western Conference wins less at home than OKC. The win rate at the Paycom Center is a meagre 27 percent!

Atlanta Hawks – statistics & current form

The Hawks must continue to fight hard to make it to the postseason. At the moment, the tenth place in the East is taken, which is why the playoffs can be booked anyway at most via the diversions of the play-in tournament.

For this, however, the current ranking must be maintained, as it grants the last ticket for participation in the play-in tournament in the West.

On the offensive side, the guests will once again rely on Trae Young. The point guard is not only the third-best assister in the NBA, but also the fourth-best scorer!

Young also impressed in the last meeting with OKC: with 30 points, he contributed the best scoring output of all players on the court at State Farm Arena in Atlanta!

Oklahoma City Thunder – Atlanta Hawks Tip

Atlanta has been waiting for its next win at OKC for more than five years. Now should be the time: The hosts no longer have any athletic goals this season.

Although they have recently picked up another two wins in the review of the past three games, the successes only came against lightweights from the East such as Orlando or Portland in the West.

For the clash between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Atlanta Hawks, betting on an away win with at least a 13-point difference seems promising.

The prediction is supported by the fact that the home side will be shorthanded. On the other hand, the visitors will be highly motivated as they want to reach the Play-in Tournament in the East.
