Does the Hawks’ offence pale again?
In the series between Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks, Game 5 is already on the line! The home side has just won a clear victory. With another win they can already book their ticket to the semi-finals in the Eastern Conference.
Miami Heat – Statistics & current form
The Florida franchise finished the regular season in first place in the East. The resulting role as favourite for the first round of the NBA Playoffs has also been lived up to by Miami.
Head coach Erik Spoelstra celebrated a victory as described above and his team is leading the series 3:1. Jimmy Butler was the match-winner in the second game of the series.
In the last game he delivered the best scoring output of all players in the State Farm Arena with 36 points. In addition, the small forward achieved his second double-double in a row in points and rebounds.
Atlanta Hawks – Statistics & current form
The Hawks actually have a very high-powered offense, but against Miami it is apparently reaching its limits. They only averaged 98.25 points per game in the series against the Heat.
The Georgia hoopsters, however, at least have Clint Capela back. The key centre made his first appearance of the 2022 playoffs in the last game. After his injury, however, the NBA’s fourth-best rebounder of the regular season was still under a minutes restriction.
Furthermore, his two-point output was still very rusty, at least in terms of scoring.
Miami Heat – Atlanta Hawks Tip
Miami has been convincing defensively in this series. The home side in particular have Trae Young well in hand for the 2022 NBA Playoffs.
The point guard was still the fourth-leading scorer in the NBA after the regular season, but in the series against Spoelstra’s squad, he has already failed to reach double figures twice in four games.
His average scoring is also about twelve points lower than his regular-season record. For the fifth game between Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks, the tip therefore aims for less than 105.5 points by the visitors.
As described, “Hotlanta” has not been able to do much against the strong defence of the home side and this should not change in the fifth match-up. Moreover, the guests have only exceeded the selected limit in points in one of the four play-off matches so far.
