Is the Grizzlies’ downward trend continuing?
In the duel between the Memphis Grizzlies and Chicago Bulls, two trends meet. While the hosts have clearly slowed down with two wins from the last ten games, the form curve of the guests from the “Windy City” is pointing upwards.
So the Bulls picked up seven victories within this review and won against the champions Golden State, among others. For the game next night from 02:00 between Memphis and Chicago, an NBA tip from today is presented below!
Memphis Grizzlies – Statistics & current form
The Grizzlies still rank second in the Western Conference, but they are currently far from the form of a top team. One reason for the drop in performance is the absence of centre Steven Adams due to injury.
Without the New Zealander, the basketballers from the “Bluff City” lost six out of seven games! In addition, Ja Morant, the best player in the Memphis squad, was recently absent due to illness.
It is not yet clear whether he will be able to play again against the Bulls. At least Dillon Brooks is back on board. The small forward served his suspension for a punch on Donovan Mitchell of Cleveland on the penultimate day of the game.
Chicago Bulls – Statistics & current form
The Bulls are in ninth place in the East and are fighting for direct participation in the postseason or rather the play-in tournament with this ranking.
However, the starting position with regard to both objectives has improved again recently due to the aforementioned rise in form.
Small forward DeMar DeRozan, among others, is in good form. Since his comeback in the NBA Global Game against Detroit in Paris in mid-January, he has been mostly reliable in scoring. Since then, he has recorded at least 26 points in six of nine games.
Memphis Grizzlies – Chicago Bulls Tip
Memphis boasts a home winning percentage of around 81 percent, the best home record in the West after Denver, but their home strength has also suffered recently with losses to Portland and Toronto.
Without the powerful centre Adams, there is currently a lack of quality under the boards. The visitors, for their part, arrive with an improved game but will have to play a back-to-back.
Nevertheless, the tip for the clash between Memphis and Chicago includes an away win or a defeat for the visitors with a maximum difference of seven points.
At least a higher defeat for the Bulls is not in the cards, given their current stable form and the very shaky form of the hosts.
