Does the Seahawks’ surge continue in LA?
Tuedsay Night Game the second is the name of the game on Wednesday night when the Los Angeles Rams host the Seattle Seahawks. Actually, this Match Week 15 game should have already taken place on Sunday, but then that unpredictable virus came again.
More than 20 Rams players had to go into Covid protocol late last week and in order to ensure a reasonably fair game, the NFL rescheduled it for Tuesday night. Quite understandable, as both teams still have playoff qualification at stake.
Of course, this postponement leaves a lot of questions about betting options. Are the Rams even the favourites now, given that a number of players will still be out in the end, including key performers such as Higbee and Miller?
The Rams’ squad is deep enough to absorb this and still retain slight favourite status. However, this should not be too high now, which is why our prediction for Rams vs. Seahawks is also a closer game than many expect.
Kickoff of the rescheduled Tuesday Night Game is at 01:00 on Wednesday night in Los Angeles. The match will be broadcast live on DAZN.
Los Angeles Rams – Statistics & current form
The Rams were one of three teams Covid really hit hard last week. A whopping 22 players were in the Covid log at times and a game on Sunday would only have been possible with significant detriment.
The game has now been rescheduled for Tuesday and at least one or two Rams players will be able to play again. However, some top players such as Tyler Higbee, Von Miller or Jordan Fuller will still be absent – just to name the best-known.
Rams squad still very strong
If there’s one team that can pick up the slack, though, it’s LA. Kupp, Beckham Jr. or Jefferson are still available as receivers and Von Miller was only signed in the middle of the season anyway.
The biggest danger now is probably at left and right tackle, where there are already three absentees on the list (Anchrum, Noteboom, Havenstein). Just one more loss and it would become very, very tight.
Defence against the pass needs improvement
The biggest weakness in the Rams’ game again this year is their defence against the pass. With 246.5 yards allowed, they are among the weakest ten teams in the NFL in that statistic. Of course, that’s a bad matchup against Russell Wilson.
The master of big plays could take advantage of this, something the Rams must avoid at all costs. Luckily for them, the Hawks have Tyler Locker, Wilson’s preferred target, out. For this reason, we still consider the Rams to be the slight favourites, but only by a few points.
Since the oddsmakers see them ahead by up to seven points, odds on the Seahawks +7 are a good betting option for Los Angeles vs. Seattle. So are bets on over 17 points against LA. The Rams have allowed at least that in six of their last seven games – even against the Lions.
Key Players:

Seattle Seahawks – stats & current form
The Seahawks are stand-up guys. Though ones that may end up being a little too lacking in class to get up often enough. In any case, they won each of their last two games to keep their playoff hopes alive.
A win in Los Angeles and they would be 6-8, just one win behind the current last playoff spot. A win is not entirely unrealistic, especially when we take the Rams’ personnel problems into consideration.
It’s now or never for the Seahawks.
This Covid issue plays into Seattle’s hands, of course, even if they deny it themselves before the game. But let’s not beat around the bush: when so many players are out for your opponent, you’re aware of the opportunity.
As long as the Seahawks don’t take the Rams lightly now, they should be able to keep up well. Better, at least, than in the 17:26 home defeat at the beginning of October. However, that was also the game in which Wilson broke his finger and had to be substituted.
Lockett outage weakens Seattle
Wilson has since returned and is also getting back into better form. Most recently, he posted a QB rating of over 99 points (110.6; 99.4; 115.2) in three appearances. However, the fact that his favourite receiver Lockett will be out on Tuesday is a severe weakening.
Still, the Seahawks should be able to score reasonably again against the Rams. They averaged 31.5 points in their last two games. They should easily score 17 on Tuesday, which is why we recommend betting on the Rams to score 17+ points against the Seahawks.
Key Players:
QB: Russell Wilson
RB: Alex Collins
WR: DK Metcalf
WR: Will Dissly
K: Jason Myers
Los Angeles Rams – Seattle Seahawks Head-to-head comparison / H2H record
We already briefly discussed the 16:27 from October and that Wilson broke his finger in the process, which caused him to take several weeks off. He therefore still has a small score to settle with the Rams and especially with Aaron Donald.
However, historically, the Rams do not suit him very well. Wilson and his Seahawks have won only three of their last ten meetings with Los Angeles. We would therefore tend to avoid betting on Seattle to win, despite the conditions.
Handicap bets on the Hawks +7 are an option, however. However, another bet seems even safer to us due to the scheduling. For LA vs. Seattle, the odds on Over 17 Seahawks points are surprisingly good at up to 1.83.
Los Angeles Rams – Seattle Seahawks Tip
Most important things in a nutshell: The Rams will have to do without numerous starters. Exactly how many will not be decided until shortly before the start of the game. But they will definitely be weakened – just because of the absences of Higbee, Fuller and Miller.
The fact that the Rams have their weaknesses against the pass also suits Seattle, and so LA’s big favourite status is not entirely understandable. For Rams vs. Seahawks, a bet on Over 17 Seattle points is thus a very good betting option.
Betting on a DK Metcalf touchdown is also in play as an alternative. In the absence of Tyler Lockett, that should become one of Wilson’s most popular targets in the end zone. Therefore, in the Rams vs. Seahawks game, it is also worth checking these betting odds
