Will the Warriors defend their third place in the West?
On the penultimate day of play in the NBA, three games will be played next night. All matches take place in the Western Conference and among others the Californian derby between the Clippers and Kings from Sacramento takes place in LA.
Memphis Grizzlies vs. New Orleans Pelicans – 10 April, 00:00 hrs
The men from the “Bluff City” have won twice against the Pels recently. Currently, however, they have to do without their best player in the person of Ja Morant. The guard is making progress in his recovery, but he will not be back in action before the playoffs.
The guests are again in good form: They have won four of their last five games and the ticket for the play-in tournament in the West has been successfully punched in the meantime.
For the clash between the Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans, betting tips on an away win or a defeat of the guests with a maximum difference of five points are offered.
For both teams, there is nothing left to play for in terms of standings, which is why the normally stronger hosts will probably take it a little easier this time.
For this reason and due to the absence of Ja Morant, they take the role of favourites only in a limited form.
San Antonio Spurs vs. Golden State Warriors – April 10, 02:30am
The Texans beat the Warriors by a razor-thin margin of 110-108 in their last head-to-head clash around three weeks ago. Hereby they once again proved their preference for the Californians.
Head coach Steve Kerr’s team has only won three of the past nine meetings. For the clash between the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors, however, the odds are on an away win with at least a seven-point lead.
The hosts are currently without their top player Dejounte Murray and the visitors will be more motivated as they look to defend their third place in the West with a win.
For the Spurs, on the other hand, the game is no longer important from a sporting point of view, as it is already clear that they will finish the regular season in tenth place in the Western Conference.
This means that San Antonio will have to play in the play-in tournament next week, which means that the home side will already be saving their energy for this additional task.
Lose Angeles Clippers vs. Sacramento Kings – April 10, 03:30am
The California derby is back for the third time this season and after two wins by the Kings, the Clippers prevailed last time. This ended LA’s previous four-game losing streak against Sactown.
For the visitors, it will be the penultimate game of the season, having missed out on the postseason once again. However, the home side will again be playing with the handbrake on.
They have to play in the play-in tournament in the West next week and will therefore keep their strength up.
For the clash between the Los Angeles Clippers and Sacramento Kings, bets on a home win with a maximum lead of eleven points or a success of the visitors are worth considering.
