Zubac the champion under the boards again?
The Clippers lost the two duels this season against Oklahoma. But this time the hosts are in a better position.
While the Clippers had to miss the first two meetings of the current season with the particularly strong forward Kawhi Leonard, the two-time MVP of the NBA Finals is now available.
LA Clippers – Statistics & current form
LA won four of their last five games, and it’s no coincidence that in the only loss within this review against Orlando, Kawhi Leonard got a breather and didn’t play.
With him on board, however, the team managed another win in the dress rehearsal in Portland and, as so often this season, the “Claw” and Paul George each delivered the best scoring record on the side of the basketballers from La-La Land. Admittedly, the Trail Blazers are also currently out of form and conceded their sixth defeat in a row against the Californians, which is why at least this triumph has to be put into perspective somewhat.
Oklahoma City Thunder – Statistics & current form
OKC has stepped up once again in the currently decisive phase of the season. Head coach Mark Daigneault’s team won seven of the last nine games. Thanks to this strong performance of the men from the Paycom Center, their chances in the race for the playoffs have clearly improved.
Oklahoma now occupy eighth place in the West and would at least be represented in the upcoming play-in tournament in the Western Conference. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also continues to play well: The point guard has a season average of 31.4 points – the fourth-best record of any player in the NBA!
LA Clippers – Oklahoma City Thunder Tip
In the clash between the LA Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder on 22/03/2023, betting on Ivica Zubac to pull down the most rebounds in the game is a good bet. The centre of the home side is one of the top ten rebounders in the NBA and is currently very efficient under the boards.
The Bosnian has averaged 14 boards in the last three games. In addition, Zubac rebounded strongly in the two duels against OKC this season. The 26-year-old averaged 16 rebounds against Oklahoma and had the highest number of boards in each of the two games.
