Jacksonville stands at three wins after five games, leading the AFC South and well on their way towards the playoffs for now. However, in a division with the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans, the Jaguars were favored before the season even began.

The good start could not have been predicted after a weak preseason. With a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the visiting team could equal their record of four wins last year. If the guests are actually successful, even participation in the playoffs would no longer be a pipe dream.

Anthony Richardson suffered a serious shoulder injury last weekend and is expected to miss four to eight weeks. Currently, it is still being investigated whether surgery is necessary or a longer break will suffice. Against the Jags, Gardner Minshew will be used, who is a different type of player by nature. While Richardson is always sprinkling in runs and getting into the end zone himself, his replacement has more of a classic passing role.

Therefore, we would not be surprised if Indianapolis will operate more through the passing game, because otherwise the offenses are too predictable.

The Colts wide receiver is already making a good impression in his first year in the NFL and could become one of the key players alongside Michael Pittman Jr. In the first five games of his NFL career, he caught passes for 255 yards, ranking 38th among pass receivers. His first touchdown, however, was a long time coming.
Weak D-Line
The Colts are anything but good on defense, allowing an average of 23 points. Shane Steichen’s team has especially struggled against the opposing passing game. On average, the Indianapolis defense allows 262.8 passing yards and is one of the weakest teams in the NFL in this category.
