Does Indy’s losing streak continue against Sixers?
The Pacers will be happy to have a home game coming up. While their win percentage away from home is just shy of 35 percent, it’s noticeably higher in front of their own fans at around 55 percent.
In contrast, the record of the recent past against the Sixers is not very successful: For the last four duels, Philly has always prevailed in this pairing!
Indiana Pacers – Statistics & Current Form
Indy still had to play in Chicago last Sunday night. Against the Bulls, the basketball players from Indianapolis were able to record a narrow 125-122 victory. Head coach Rick Carlisle’s team benefited from the return of Tyrese Haliburton in particular.
The second-best scorer in the NBA also looked fit again after his short injury break and delivered a double-double with 29 points and eleven assists. With these figures, he recorded the best yield of his team in both areas.
Philadelphia 76ers – Statistics & current form
The Sixers have recently lost ground in the race for the top of the table. Head coach Doc Rivers’ team has only won two of the last five games. On the other hand, they were able to claim a prestigious victory in their last game at Milwaukee.
With 133-130 Philadelphia prevailed at the first place in the Eastern Conference and the best home team in the East. They also ended Budenholzer’s previous 16-game winning streak with the victory! In terms of personnel, however, the game could still have an aftermath, as two players from the starting five, Tobias Harris and PJ Tucker, had to leave the court early due to injuries.
Indiana Pacers – Philadelphia 76ers Tip
In the duel between Indiana and Philadelphia, the prediction of an away win with at least an eight-point difference seems profitable. The hosts have to play a back-to-back and have been waiting for the next win against the Sixers for four games anyway.
Furthermore, the visitors may be weakened in terms of personnel, but the rest of the squad would also be qualitatively sufficient for the upcoming task against the only fourth-last in the East for a comparatively commanding victory.
James Harden in particular is in the best of moods. In the last game against the Bucks, “The Beard” scored 38 points, the most of any player on the court at the Fiserv Forum. In addition, the upcoming opponent suits him: In the two season meetings so far, the former Nets player has recorded the highest scoring output on the Philly side.
Furthermore, the home side’s home record has suffered recently. Although the win rate is still above 50 percent, only one of the last five games on home turf has been won. Only the bottom team in the East, Detroit, also has this poor record in this flashback!
