3-5 is the Seattle Seahawks’ record and it’s almost a miracle that they still have a good chance of making the playoffs with that. The last team to hold such a place is the Falcons with 4:4 wins.

So it’s a good thing that quarterback Russell Wilson is now back after an injury layoff due to a broken finger. However, it remains to be seen to what extent he will be back at 100%.

Defence must clearly improve

Assuming Wilson doesn’t need much of a ramp-up time, there’s one part of the team that needs to step it up a bit: their defence. A whole 401.5 yards allowed per game is clearly too much and against Rodgers and his Packers this will also go wrong more often than against other teams.

The fact that the Hawks still only allow 21.1 points per game is almost extraordinary. That means they often manage to hold the opponent scoreless or to a field goal after long drives. They will need to bring that strength to bear again on Sunday if they are to stand a chance.
