A fan felt ill before the start of the match between Milan and Verona. Around midday, he went into cardiac arrest just before climbing the stairs to the third tier of the San Siro stadium. He is currently in critical condition. The ambulance arrived promptly and the man was stabilized before being taken to hospital.

This has happened before at San Siro. Last year, during Inter vs. Udinese, a fan fell ill and the match was interrupted for six minutes. It was December 19, 2024. In that case, too, the fan was stabilized before being taken away by ambulance. In January 2010, however, a fan died after falling ill during the Milan-Inter derby. He collapsed in the first half and was rushed away, but in the end, the rescue efforts and treatment were in vain.
