Mannheim with frustration against ERC?

Neither in the semi-final series between RB Munich vs. Grizzlies Wolfsburg nor between ERC Ingolstadt vs. Adler Mannheim has a preliminary decision been made after four encounters in the BO7 series. In the DEL Playoffs 2023, it therefore remains uncertain who will win the first ticket to the final – both series are still tied (2:2).

The Munich team celebrated a 3:1 victory on home ice against the Lower Saxons in their most recent semi-final match and thus evened the series. Mannheim, on the other hand, surprisingly squandered home ice advantage against the ERC, with the eight-time German champions even going scoreless.

Following is a short DEL Playoffs preview of the fifth match of the current semi-final series – hockey tips today, betting odds and the schedule of the next semi-final matches.

RB Munich – Grizzlies Wolfsburg 08 April, 15:15

The “Red Bulls” report back in the semi-final series against the Grizzlies from Wolfsburg. With the 3:1 away from home, there was a small liberation for the Munich team after two defeats in a row. At home, RB can now make it 3:2 and thus set the course for a place in the final. The BO7 series can be decided with four wins after all.

In the upcoming semi-final duel between RB Munich vs. Grizzlies Wolfsburg, a tip on the home side is obvious. The title favourites from Munich have won five of their last six home games against the Lower Saxons. Only the last home game was surprisingly a defeat.

Considering how strong the “Red Bulls” were in the three previous home games – including two quarter-final games against the Fischtown Penguins – it is obvious that RB Munich will win the upcoming match. In the last four home games, the concentrated offensive of the Munich team has already scored 19 goals – an average of 4.75 goals per match.

Our DEL Playoffs tip today therefore aims at a victory for the Munich team. We do not rule out an offensive spectacle.

ERC Ingolstadt – Adler Mannheim 08 April, 18:00

The recent semi-final duel against ERC Ingolstadt could not have gone worse from Mannheim’s point of view. Not only because the eight-time DEL champions once again squandered their home advantage, but also because the Adler’s strong offence went scoreless for the first time in the current playoffs. It was a real defensive battle between the two clubs.

The fifth match will now take place at the Schanzer again. Despite the home advantage, ERC Ingolstadt are only slight favourites in the upcoming match. Twice in the current BO7 series, the Panthers have already squandered home advantage against the Mannheim side.

It is therefore also risky to place a bet on the home side in the upcoming match between ERC Ingolstadt and Adler Mannheim. Especially as ERC Ingolstadt have not yet won a match in front of their home crowd in the current playoffs. In five home games, there have been two victories, but both only in overtime.
