Mavs without Doncic again?

The Dallas Mavericks look to even the series against the Utah Jazz in Game 2. The first matchup in the 2022 playoffs ended with an away win for the Mormon State basketball team.

The Mavs must also fear for the use of Luka Doncic with regard to the second edition of the series against Utah. The Slovenian injured himself in the last game of the regular season and his absence can hardly be compensated by the troops of head coach Jason Kidd.

Although both guards Spencer Dinwiddie and Jalen Brunson scored solidly and recorded more than 20 points each, the “Don” was still missing on both sides of the court. In addition, the hospital in Dallas is already well filled with Hardaway and Ntilikina.

Utah Jazz – Statistics & current form

The franchise from Salt Lake City could once again rely on Donovan Mitchell in the first game of the series against the Mavs. Although “Spida” started very weak, he improved more and more as the game went on. In the end, he had the best record in both categories with 32 points and six assists for head coach Quin Snyder’s team.

Dallas Mavericks – Utah Jazz Tip

The home side will most likely have to do without Luka Doncic for the duel with Utah. This means that the Texans’ leader and best player will be missing.

On top of that, the home side’s personnel situation is worse than that of the visitors, as more regulars will have to miss the match. For the showdown between Dallas and Utah in Game 2, the betting is on more than 27.5 points and rebounds by Jalen Brunson.

Even in the first matchup, the point guard operated reliably on the offensive end and, along with Spencer Dinwiddie, jumped into the void caused by Doncic’s absence.

In the end, Brunson had 24 points and seven boards to his credit. Both figures are clearly above his seasonal balances of around 16 points and four rebounds per game.
