Will the Mavs equalise against the Suns?

On Sunday night, Game 4 in the Western Conference semi-finals will go down in Dallas between the Mavericks and Phoenix Suns. The home side last played in front of their own crowd for the first time and used home court advantage to win the series for the first time.

Dallas Mavericks – Statistics & current form

Despite their recent success, the Texans are trailing 1:2 in the series. In the last game, however, especially the defence showed significant improvement.

After the opponent always scored at least 121 points in the first two comparisons, the Mavs held the Suns to less than 100 points this time.

The win was also very important from a psychological point of view, as head coach Jason Kidd’s team was able to end a series of eleven consecutive losses against Phoenix.

Phoenix Suns – Statistics & current form

The Suns had to admit to themselves after the last game that they might have been a bit too casual going into the encounter in Dallas due to the two wins in the opener.

Due to the tougher pace of the Mavs’ defence this time, they did not find their usual offensive strength. One example was Devin Booker with only 18 points. Chris Paul also committed too many turnovers.

In the end, he had seven ball losses and for the second-best assister in the 2022 playoffs, four successful assists were of course not a satisfactory yield either.

Dallas Mavericks – Phoenix Suns Tip

The 2011 champions recently won against their fearful opponents and the home advantage was unquestionably decisive. The home crowd supported the Mavs frenetically and inspired the Kidd troops.

For the clash between the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns in Game 4, the betting is now on another home win or a defeat for the hosts by a maximum of three points.

The home side has been much improved defensively against the basketballers from the Valley and with the opposing fans providing additional support for the Mavs, head coach Monty Williams once again expects a tough away task.
