Does Dallas beat the Bulls?
The Mavericks and Bulls face each other on the penultimate NBA matchday of the regular season. While the visitors have already booked their ticket to the play-in tournament in the East, the home side still have to fight for it in the Western Conference.
Dallas Mavericks – Statistics & current form
Head coach Jason Kidd’s side have found themselves in a precarious position due to a downturn in performances towards the end of the regular season. Participation in the postseason is still not certain.
However, the last game against the Kings showed that the two top players Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving have recognised the seriousness of the situation. Together they delivered 60 points for the Texas franchise.
Doncic and Irving have room to improve
However, a playmaking question mark remains behind the duo. Since “Uncle Drew” moved from Brooklyn to Dallas last February, the two top guards have been on the court together 16 times, but only five of those games ended in a win for Dallas!
Chicago Bulls – Statistics & current form
The six-time champions of the NBA can go into the encounter more relaxed. At least the tenth place in the Eastern Conference can no longer be taken away from the men from Illinois.
At the same time, however, it is no longer enough for a ranking that entitles them to participate in the game for the seventh place in the East, which is why it is already clear that the Bulls need two wins in the following play-in tournament to qualify for the postseason.
The Bulls also fear for the deployment of Alex Caruso. The shooting guard was injured in the penultimate game against Atlanta and already missed the last game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Dallas Mavericks – Chicago Bulls Tip
After making it to the Finals in the West last year, the Mavs are currently having to fight hard for a place in the upcoming Western Conference play-in tournament.
For the duel on the penultimate matchday in the NBA between the Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls, the tip and the odds on a home victory with at least a nine-point difference now seem promising.
The home side will be much more motivated than their opponents due to their position in the standings. On top of that, they have the home advantage: the Texans win 59 percent of their home games, while the Bulls’ win rate away from home is only 42.5 percent.
The statistics for the pairing from the recent past also back up the prediction. Only two of Dallas’ last eight home games against Chicago did not end in a win for the home side.
