Do the Knicks break their derby losing streak?

Derby in New York! The Nets host the Knicks at home in the Barclays Center from 01:30 the next night. For the visitors, the pairing has not been a good place lately: Head Coach Tom Thibodeau’s squad has been on a losing streak for the last seven meetings.

The NBA forecast for the upcoming game between the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks is for an away win.

Brooklyn Nets – Statistics & current form

The Nets can’t get out of the headlines at the moment. First, the franchise parted ways with head coach Steve Nash and then Kyrie Irving was suspended for the time being.

The reason is that, in the eyes of the franchise, “Uncle Drew” has not sufficiently distanced himself from the recent accusation of anti-Semitism against him. Without the powerful guard, the home side is now running in a much weakened shape.

Furthermore, the defensive and offensive performances have already been only average in league-wide comparisons since the start of the new 2022/23 NBA season.

New York Knicks – Statistics & current form

The Knicks have been mixed so far: After ten rounds of games, they have five wins and five losses. Especially the defensive work still has room for improvement: Only six teams in the NBA allow their opponents more points per game on average.

At least Jalen Brunson has quickly acclimatised to New York. The newcomer from Dallas has an average scoring value of just under 20 points.

With this yield, he immediately jumped into first place within the club. He has also nearly doubled his career value in assists this season.

Brooklyn Nets – New York Knicks Tip

For the duel between the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks, betting on a win for the visitors seems profitable.

The home side will be without their suspended top guard Kyrie Irving and even with him on board they have been disappointing so far this season. Only four wins from eleven games show this.

The Knicks, on the other hand, have started solidly and their newcomer Jalen Brunson has acclimatised quickly. The ex-Maverick has recorded at least 20 points in four games and 7.5 assists per game in this flashback.

The Knicks will not lack motivation, as they finally want to end their black streak of seven losses in a row against the Nets.
